Server and drinks were fine, but the bar manager refused to give us shots of rumple after we asked kindly (second drink of the night, trying to be super respectful), and then would not give a reason why and offered other shots but just wouldn't give us that specific liquor. Very confused and didn't have any other explanation other than "we called the bar manager and they said no".

** The response by the owner seems to clear things up. This bar seems to be more concerned with taking themselves too seriously rather than providing hospitality. If you don't want to serve shots and be a higher end establishment, that is totally fine! But we were offered shots, just not the specific liquor we requested. Drawing the line at a 100 proof shot seems very interesting since the drink that drew us to the rumpleminze in the first place was a rumpleminze martini, which is basically just that pure liquor anyways, and was also offered to us and we could just "drink it really fast". But more than any of this, choosing to respond condescendingly without any apology or "hey that stinks that you had a bad experience, we would love for you to come back and try again!" makes their view on customers...

While the space appears to be very nice, they must have been having a nice night. We sat and had an oddly bitter Cosmo that just wasn't right. When asked if they had Vermouth, they said yes, but when asked if it was kept refrigerated, the girl said she wasn't sure and asked why I asked that question. Vermouth can go sour when kept unrefrigerated because it is a fortified wine, meaning any martini made with it will likely be off. The other drinks were fine, as was the beer.

A male waiter took over at a point, and he just wasn't good. As he was handing over a martini glass, he was sloshing it, commenting how he was clumsy but not outright apologizing or attempting to steady his hand. He also shrugged when we mentioned the first Cosmo was off and that we didn't like it. No attempt at a further discussion on his end.

The service by the girls on staff was good, it is unfortunate that they are working for bar manager with such poor communication skills. It is completely their prerogative which drinks they would like to serve but this was certainly not conveyed to the staff or to myself. Instead of being told a disappointing but reasonable “sorry we don’t serve shots,” we were instead given a lecture on what liquor is. After much confusion about what is “allowed” to be ordered at a bar or not and with zero reason given why we could not be served our shot of choice, they offered to make other shots seeming having no problem serving shots or high proof drinks as they claim to care about.
