Summer Moon Coffee — Restaurant in Wake Forest

Delicious experience. I'm so thrilled to have another great coffee shop in Wake Forest. The Iced Cinnamon Latte is fabulous, I mean really good!! Lots of real rich cinnamon (not fake flavored syrup) and not too sweet (you can taste the espresso above all else). The flavor of their espresso roast is rich and complex. They use Oatley's Barista blend which is one of my favorite oat milk brands for a latte. And they put in just the perfect amount of ice to chill the drink but not water it down. I hate a watered-down iced latte! They offer all of the non-dairy milk options, the good expensive brands! They also have a fairly substantial menu of espresso drinks, teas, and coffees as well as baked goods.

The atmosphere is very nice, more of an authentic coffee shop even though it is in a strip mall, decorated in warm woods and colors, and with plenty of inside seating. I wish they had more seating outside.

The baristas are sweet and helpful (and very young haha) but they seem to know what they are doing because the lattes were delicious.

And for you walkers, runners and bikers, it's right off the Wake Forest Greenway trail!! Woo, we can ride our bikes for coffee in the morning!

I had a great first time experience at Summer Moon. I frequently work in Wake Forest and had noticed the sign, "Oak Roasted Coffee" before they were open and was curious. Once they were open, I took a look at some of their reviews and decided it looked worth trying. I was not mistaken. I had to dig a little deeper to figure out how their menu worked in an attempt to find something that suited my taste. In the back of my mind I was thinking about ordering the "Quarter Moon" when I walked in. I walked out with their "Nitro Moon". I asked the barista what she would suggest I would like. I told her I like a strong coffee flavor and something potent perhaps with a lot of espresso. She ended up suggesting the "Nitro Moon" and even made sure it tasted right before I walked out. It is definitely strong and exactly what I was looking for. If anything, I would add the slightest bit of sweetness if anything but slowly sipped it yesterday afternoon and felt wired into the evening. I love when a cup of coffee gives you that instant jolt on the first sip, and the "Nitro Moon" accomplished that. I write this after I just stopped in for the second day in a row. *Wow never have I've ever had the employee I wrote my review on create a fake Facebook account to send me a message harassing me and my girlfriend. Then proceeded to pretend to be management when I followed up on the harassment even though another employee just told me the manager was gone for the day.

First time in and had some of the worst customer service I've experienced. Felt like I was bothering the girl behind the counter. Asked what the seasonal flavors were and instead of informing me of what they were just pointed to a sheet that had "seasonal" written on with winter flavors which newsflash they did not have. Looked miserable the whole time behind the counter then slid our drink when it was done not letting us know our order was ready. Had to ask and was given a salty reply.
