My husband and I stopped in at Laurie's 9:09 on Friday night and we just had the best time. It is so warm and quaint and the food that Laurie cooks is amazing. From the wine choice I made to the appetizer of spring rolls filled with steak and cheese, the drizzle on top and a bed of spinach, just delicious and my husband got the steak tips, Laurie's steak tips can go up against anyone's steak tips and she would win. They are just delicious. I have got them before and love them. My husband just smiled, they were so good. I got a burger with cheese and it was cooked perfectly and the fries, which are my passion, were delicious. How I dislike when a restaurant can't deliver a good fries. Never the case at Laurie's, her fries are the best, hot and crunchy with a hint of salt, just the way I love them. The dessert was they're famous Lemon Layer Cake, oh my, can I tell you how I love that cake. Until you have tried it, you haven't lived. The team at Laurie's work hard and deliver all that a restaurant should, great service, smiles and friendly atmosphere. The band The Zackly's played and they were great, you could sway in your chair and sing right along. Pat who was one of the singers walked around with his cordless microphone entertaining us all. Just a lot of great fun on a Friday night after a long work week to kick back and enjoy life. I recommend this restaurant and if you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and go, ask for Bobby, he will always meet you...

I review a lot of places so believe me when I say this place is special. I have been a Wakefield resident for over a year now and I can't believe it took this long to discover this place.

The bar is wonderful. Their draft selections are unique and always exciting to try. Danny is an amazing bartender and extremely pleasant. He made sure to make me feel right at home on my first visit. The entire staff is friendly and caring. You can truly just tell that this place cares about their employees and their customers. Everyone is treated with respect, dignity, and compassion.

The patrons that come here are of all shapes and sizes but always friendly and great to talk to. It is a real local hub for some after work drinks with friends, coworkers, or even just by yourself.

The food is immaculate. It is out of this world. I have had their chicken sandwiches and wings. I was always completely blown away by how good it was.

And just to add a cherry on top, this place is super affordable. In a time when it seems that dinners cost more than rent, you can rest assured that at Laurie's you will be able to have a great time without breaking the bank and leave feeling totally satisfied.

I've only been here once (with my partner), but I enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be back. It's a cozy place that is easy to miss, but it's a must visit and has a large parking lot. We ordered a bunch of seafood, a salad, and a sandwich, which all had a generous portion and came out pretty quickly. I loved it all, even though my partner thought some of it was a little too oily.
