Edit: It is going to be almost $2000 to not only do the work John was SUPPOSED to do and didn't, but that is to also fix all of the damage his so called $1250 worth of work did under my hood.

I was lied to and scammed by John. He charged me over $1000 for a brand new radiator, in November, when the reality is all he did was patch the crack that he said was in it and still continued to charge me for a new one. He told me it was the starter so he replaced that. He was wrong!! So he said he would write off the starter instead of doing the labor to take it out and just replace the radiator with something "around the same price, maybe a little more."

No less than 5 months later did my car start overheating. The kicker was when it started smoking to the point I called the fire department and they told me it looked like something melted and was burning (I presume the "patch" he thought would suffice) instead of, you know, just putting in the new radiator he charged me for like a MAYBE halfway decent mechanic. When my car started overheating again I locked my debit card because my car was never actually fixed the right way and who pays for something that isn't what they were told they were paying for?? I am a young mother and I am absolutely NEVER going to give money to a "mechanic" who has now made my vehicle and CHILD unsafe.

Fast forward to today, my car is in a new TRUSTED mechanic shop and that is when I was told it was patched and nowhere near brand new (remember this was replaced in November) My boyfriend and I called him today two separate times and two separate times he couldn't even be bothered to listen. All he did was talk and yell over me like a child and then HUNG UP like an even bigger baby. Apparently because of my mother's "past due balance" which in reality, he stopped taking money out of her account. She reached out multiple times and he never once got back in touch. When he did get back in touch it was a survey about how well they are doing. Clearly he has a track record of some shady business. I am now being screwed over, punished, and not listened to because of something that has nothing to do with MY issue.

Lying, scamming, and then speaking to CUSTOMERS the way you did today is absolutely no way to get any money owed. And I know for a FACT I am not the first person he has done this to and it will definitely not be the last.

You should've never gotten the $1000+ I paid in the first place considering what you charged me for was not even done. If you're going to come back and say "well you got a free starter", don't forget your the professional who was WRONG.

The fact that this person is running a business this way, in fact running a business at all, is an absolute joke. He is a scammer, he is a liar, and he is a pathetic excuse for a man. John should be absolutely ASHAMED of who he is as a "professional mechanic"

AC Auto is the only place I want to take my car. John and his employees are extremely kind and honest and do the best work using only the best parts. I’ve come to them with issues that were something like an oil light being on or a transmission light due to another company failing to turn it off. They always help me out. They are so good to me I question why I ever went anywhere else. As a woman who does not know cars, it’s nice to go somewhere that’s so honest and doesn’t speak down to me. They won’t do work they don’t think is necessary and won’t do any work without me knowing what it will entail and the cost. They are really the best. They also will do local pick ups for my car or pick me up and drop me off.

Most recently, my car kept stalling and I had run out of coolant due to a leak. I brought my car over, the Monday before Christmas. They were fully booked but John said they could scan my car and book be for the next week since they were off the rest of the week for the holiday. They looked at my car and determined it was a high priority and I couldn’t drive it without it continuing to stall. They went out to buy the parts and installed what I needed immediately. I am sure that caused them to run behind that day as there was a lot of people in the waiting room and the lot was filled. They are kind, responsible and good to their customers. I needed a fresh set of eyes on my 2014 Toyota 4Runner after a fluids leak issue kept springing up. I found the AC Auto guys on a Google search and their reviews looked good. Well, they were super helpful, professional and understanding of my issue. After an initial phone call to discuss my issue, I dropped my ride and keys in their mail box after hours (very convenient) they promptly inspected the issues the next day and called me back to discuss. They diagnosed the leak issue I brought it in for, but they also informed me on other things they were seeing. They were not pushy at all about the other things they were seeing and in fact they told me I could put them on a timetable. I really appreciated them looking out for me and being honest about what was a safety issue and the stuff that could wait. We moved forward with some selected repairs. They performed the work in the time frame they promised and pickup and closeout of the transaction was all very professional once again. Update Jul 2025: needed an AC recharge and John and company got me in quick and performed it while I waited. In and out and my AC blows cold again!...
