The food and atmosphere, and especially the service was amazing at the Poor People's Pub. After being in NH for a few days of trying different restaurants, when I wasn't cookin on the grill, this place had the best food we had the pleasure of trying. I had the paupers burger and was extremely happy with it so much I finished it all, unlike the last four places we tried out in the area. My wife had the hobo sandwich and it was just loaded with corned beef. Really tasty. My daughter said they were the best wings she's had in years, except for my Gumbo Wings. Also most definitely try the pepperoni sticks. I wish I had bought a tub of their marinara. It sealed the deal. Thanks so much to all at the Pub.

We were on a foliage drive and decided to stop in The Poor People' Pub for lunch. They are currently celebrating their 50th year and it was evident by the crowd that they are loved. There was both inside and outside seating. The place is quite large. We were greeted and seated immediately. The prices were really good. We got the cheese steak subs. They were very large, the meat was tender and the bread was excellent. We were pretty stuffed but when we were told the dessert options, we succumbed. The pineapple upside down cake with coconut and caramel sauce was, by itself, worth the drive. The chocolate ice cream sundae was so big and so good. We will absolutely return!

Busy place but fast turnover. We were seated immediately. The table was a little sticky. I ordered the strawberry lemonade based on other reviews. That was a good call because it was delicious. I had a corned beef sandwich with an upgrade from chips to fries. The sandwich was perfect, lots of moist corned beef, Swiss cheese, and the right amount of sauerkraut - too much makes a soggy sandwich. The fries were overcooked and hard. I would skip the fries next time. My partner had the Monday special of shepherd's pie. He said it was hot and delicious. It came with a small warm roll and butter. I would definitely eat here again.

It's just ok. We've been before and had slightly better than ok experiences. Honestly, our last recent visit was probably our last visit. The roast beef in my sandwich was actually pretty good. It was at least nice and cold which means it's being handled/held properly.

The sandwich roll, on the other hand, was completely dried out. It was obviously several days old. My husband was pretty sure his was, too, only slightly better concealed because his sandwich was slightly toasted.

And if they've always served these "oven fries" instead of actually fried potatoes, I don't remember it? They're like those weird, fakey fries Burger King used to get away with, only without the benefit of deep frying. And about 1/3 of them are so over-baked and hard that they're impossible to eat. And they'll charge you a dollar for the privilege of getting those instead of potato chips.

Service was fine. Bathroom was basically clean. Table was a little sticky but that may be due to the finish used on the table.

Really, it's not the worst food I've ever eaten. If you're in Sanbornville and too hungry to wait to get somewhere else, I guess stop in for a sandwich. As for me, I think I can wait to spend $45 (for 2 meals, including tip) for...

I didn't even desire taking pics. We were referred by a friend that told us that he had gone here a long time ago and the food was good. I will tell you one good thing. The Homemade Onion Soup, with swiss cheese was VERY tasty. The cost of the small bowl was $6 each. My companion ordered the Buffalo wings. The price was $11 for literally three medium sized wings, but in half, and very underwhelming as far as flavor. They brought a ranch dip, which was requested---also, not typical and somewhat bland? When we ordered drinks, mine came in a very small paper cup! I mean...even though I asked the waitress for a glass, or different cup, she never returned!!! It must have been shift changes, we had a new waitress, that didn't introduce herself. So, as my cup was quickly soaking through, I rushed to drink my juice. I pretty much lost my appetite, and instead of ordering a more hearty meal, (we were both pretty hungry) we decided to call it an "experience," asked for our bill, and hit the road. Yes, they also served the food on paper plates....guess, it's just The poor people's pub style. Any hoo, I'd say, if you'd like to try it for yourself, go ahead-but don't say I didn't...

REALLY disappointed in the food. It’s not very good… I ordered something that EVERY restaurant should be able to make, a cheeseburger. I got a child’s size bun with two of the tiniest, thin beef patties I’ve ever seen. This came with only a small handful of fries, which were overcooked, some were burned. For the money, you can get far better quality, and better meals, at ANY other restaurant. The staff is nice enough, and it’s a decent enough looking place, but after giving them four or five chances, both dining in and take out, I won’t be back, I am done. I’m tired of being disappointed. ~ Side note, I was going to order a drink while waiting because I was just standing in the middle of the restaurant, (there’s no place to wait for take out!) but I was never even acknowledged! I mentioned to another customer that I must be invisible. He actually had to get the attention of the bar tender before I was even addressed. But I found out they also only serve beer and...
