Ixtapa family Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Walla Walla

Just had an early dinner here and it was very nice. Food was good. I would say that is was comparable to other Mexican restaurants we’ve been to. I had a chicken chimichanga that came with rice, beans and the little lettuce and tomato salad. My husband had chicken fajitas. His was more of a meal then mine ( I ordered just a single item) and his came with a bigger portion of the rice and beans and it had a cute little baby friend/ bowl that had his sour cream and guacamole in it. I really liked the atmosphere. The decor was grey walls with black trim and pictures were white painted framed with black painted photo. Forgot to bring my phone🥲 and there were two walls that had beautiful paintings. The wait staff were very pleasant and attentive. We will be going back and if anyone is looking for a place to go for a night out I think it has a great atmosphere for the night life as well. Oh and there were two young guys that came in after us and I’m not sure what they ordered but a waitress brought out this cute little cart that had things on it and she was dishing up some side things? Went with family and friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was good; I had the enchiladas la crema and was excellent. Did not hear anything negative from the others about the food. The overall grade of a 3 comes from the way the margarita was served and the guacamole. The margarita was served in a square glass, and it is very difficult to drink out of a square glass. Part of the point of a margarita is to drink around the glass rim to get all the salt. Almost impossible with this glass. The guacamole was blah, very little seasoning of any kind. The margarita flight is AMAZING to sample multiple flavors! The fajita plate I had was delicious and arrived quickly after ordering. I was very impressed with the variety on the menu, it did make it a little hard to decide what to order.
