Appetizers were good. I’m sorry but maybe the cook doesn’t understand the concept of putting cheese on fries, it’s supposed to be melted. 😅 Omelettes are a joke, literally burnt eggs with raw veggies. This happened twice two years apart. The fish I got was unseasoned & as bland as it could get. At least it wasn’t over cooked. The fries themselves were very good & the salad bar was a nice option. Although the soup was again, very bland. I think most of their demographic are above the age 50 & it shows. Do yourself a favor & check out the biker bar with great food down the road, Thirty Six Saloon.

Great place to meet with friends the evening before the Rockville Maple Syrup festival. Parke County is beautiful!

Great service and tasty food! They did not have the buffet option when I went a few days ago.

I was looking forward to going to the Narrows Restaurant as it has been an old-time favorite. I looked up the menu on the State Park site and the selections seemed quite appealing. Upon arrival, there were very few people in the restaurant. This should have been the first red flag. There was no warning that it was a buffet-only day until seated. We had driven several miles and decided to proceed with the buffet.

BEWARE, it was $21.99 each not including a drink. You will spend nearly $60.00 for two including tax and tip, and not including drinks or dessert.

The food was nothing special and the salad lettuce was brown and obviously from a bag.

If you are set on going after my thoughts, I suggest you phone in advance to see if you can order off the menu on the day you're visiting.

As an option, and only a mile away, is "Up the Creek" Restaurant. They offer a very good selection and half the price.

Our server was the only positive for the evening as she had a good personality.

Won't...

The food was good and well prepared. I got a cheeseburger and chips which I thought were pretty good. My mother had the fried chicken and it was definitely something I'd recommend. The breading sticks and it was crispy and juicy. The steamed carrots were also really good. I despise steamed carrots with a burning passion but these I could actually enjoy! Good job! The breakfast selection was also really nice and the prices were very reasonable. If you like standard Midwestern fare and you don't want to have to drive 20 minutes in any direction, this is a nice place to load up on calories before or after a long hike. When you factor in things like the distance you'll need to drive and lost time, the prices are more than reasonable. I'll definitely to adding this to the top of my list next time I find myself hungry...

We ate at this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Both meals were buffet, no other options even though there is a menu.

Breakfast was outstanding, service was great and our child was free. 5 stars for breakfast.

For dinner, the food was excellent. We enjoyed the lasagna. The service for dinner was so awful that my child went around and gathered silverware and waters for our table. He actually asked me if there was something wrong with our family because he noticed all the other tables being served. It was also more expensive than vegas buffets! It was $60 for 2 adults and a...
