Read moreThis little joint is the bomb! Generally I don't associate great 'real' Mexican food with the greater New Haven area, this place changed that for me. Small family owned operation who caters not only to the carnivores but us vegetarians! Vegetarian style re-fried beans made in a way to prove once and for all that lard is NOT NECESSARY for a great taste! Really good quality house made guacamole, and often on special cheese and jalapeno tamales with awesome flavor. Rounding off every meal are their amazing chips (no or very low salt, rare and wonderful home made crisps that come with no less then 5 delicious home made salsas! I generally get 2 tamales, a couple of bean/cheese/guac and veggie tacos and I've had a filling meal for under $10, with a Poland Springs water! Can't say enough good about this place, dozens of fresh tasting meals and never a dud, always friendly fast service and very low impact on the wallet. Keep up the good...

That said, you should absolutely go there, your tastebuds and wallet-- this place is incredibly affordable-- will thank you.
P.S. Don't forget to smother your food in...
