Bristol Square Cafe — Restaurant in Walpole

If I could give no stars, I would. I had breakfast there on Sunday, June 30th. I was with two friends whom I hadn't seen in three years. I realize that the pay scale for waitresses is extremely low, as my mother, aunt and two cousins were/are waitresses. The food was delicious, but the waitress we had was rude, argumentative and absent when it came to her job. I would mention her name, but she never introduced herself to us. My friends and I were extremely careful about watching the front door to make sure that we were not taking up space that new customers would need. We were also aware that there were other tables and booths empty to accommodate whomever needed to be seated. Getting a refill on coffee was next to impossible, and one of my friends actually had to leave the table in order to get me a glass of ice water. Our waitress took our order, never came back to ask if everything was good, or if there was anything we needed. When we were getting ready to leave, she finally came over with the check, and said: "You can never do this again!! You can't take up a table for this long!! I only have four stations!!!" How are we, as customers, supposed to know how many stations a waitress is assigned? Her complaint is with her boss, not with the customer. I've read all of the reviews on this board, and I have found that I am not alone. The wait staff are rude and inattentive to...

Although the food was delicious and the prices are reasonable our experience with the waitress on Sunday was subpar. We have been to Bristol Cafe on many Sundays and are always cognizant of how busy they are and plan our time accordingly. This past Sunday from the time we were seated to the time we were told to leave was about 40 minutes. We hadn't finished our beverages when the waitress told us to leave as they needed the booth for the next group of people. At that time we looked through the restaurant and there were two empty booths as well as 3 empty tables. We did finish quickly, paid our bill and went out into the hall way. We chatted for about ten minutes and during that time the booth we had been told to leave was still unoccupied. As paying customers, we shouldn't be rushed out the door.The waitress was inappropriate in asking us to leave, while there were empty tables and we weren't finished with our drinks. As a result I will not...

Great food...but had an uncomfortable experience...during my lunch...there was a window cleaner near us..and were literally inhaling chemicals from the soap..moved out of his way the first time..then 2 more time's..where we went..he went...2:00 and they close at 3...I have never experienced this ever ...Worked for many restaurants & never saw this before....Asked on way out why...server replied.."he's been doing these windows every Wednesday for 20 yrs..same time of day..and no one has ever complained before....shocked me...attidude was sarcastic and I got pissed off...no apology..made me feel like I was the bad customer for complaining....6 tables were occupied at the time..discusted...I WAS A REGULAR THERE..The owners are usually there..not that day. Very Bad experience...been goi g there for year's..never an issue...
