Tonight was my first time eating here and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, our waiter didn't speak english very well at all or understand english. I ordered a beef chimichanga. The menu had either chicken or shredded beef and I wanted shredded beef. I was excited to see that the restaurant had shredded beef since Carlos O'Kelly's had stopped having shredded beef on their menu years ago. I also said that I didn't want guacamole. The waiter asked me a question about my order and since I couldn't understand him I thought that he was just confirming that I had said that I wanted beef. After he had brought our chips and salsa, he came back to the table with a dish of guacamole. I told him that I was sorry but I had said no guacamole. Then when we got our food, there was guacamole on my plate. But the biggest disappointment was that the chimichanga was ground beef instead of shredded beef. It wasn't bad although it was a little dry. If I ever go back, I hope that there won't be any misunderstandings from a language barrier. Our waiter was very nice, we were both just having a problem...
Read moreThe atmosphere was very similar to most Mexican restaurants that I have been in but the music was too loud. The food was very good and I wish I could say the same for the service. I ordered a frozen margarita and they brought one on the rocks which I was just going to let slide. Then they brought out my wife's dinner but not mine saying they would be right back. After waiting another 7-8 minutes I got to talk to a manager who provided the frozen margarita I had ordered and checked on my dinner. He apologized for the wrong drink and delayed food and said he would not charge me for my margarita. My dinner finally arrived, but only after my wife had already finished eating her dinner. Went to pay the bill and they charged me for my margarita which I questioned because the manager had said they would not charge for it. Apparently they were only not charging me for the one I...
Read moreThe resturant is very decorative and attractive. But the food was average at best. We were from out of town and we're let down by the food. One had beef one had chicken. Both said it tasted funny. A few hours later my son had severe gut pain and his guts were rolling. Later that evening my son developed severe loose stools, nausea and dizziness. We are pretty sure he has food poisoning. He had beef Birria tacos and rice. Plus he drank sprite. Mom had the chicken Casadilia. She is OK. I had a bean burrito and rice and beans. We all had cheese dip. By Sunday he was very sick vomiting, abdominal cramps, fever, loose stools. Monday he was not better. He went to the doctor and yes he has E coli food poisoning. This has been reported to the State of Kansas health board. Also The floor was slick as snot so don't fall and hurt yourself. My elderly and myself almost fell those floors...
