While I’d love to give them a better review..I’m giving 3 stars for a few reasons and it’s nothing against them. Seafood buffet - back when it was 15.99, it was worth it. When they started it, food was always hot and fresh, they were always attentive. They’re still attentive..but waiting 20 minutes for melted butter is kinda crazy. They would try to keep it stocked up, but it sacrificed in the food quality.,calamari was chewy (meaning over cooked)..didn’t have scallops, and I mainly went for clams…I can eat clams all day, every day…they would stock 20 at a time in the well. Crab legs…had them one time and I’ll just say, I came with a group..we went from having 4 knuckles at a time, to being given 2. Everything else is excellent. Service - woman that works at the register is top notch…I have absolutely no complaints about her or even the guy cooking the food. They always do their best, It’s in Ware Shoals…so there isn’t much around there as far as food goes..but here’s an issue I have. I left a comment on their post one day when someone asked for honesty about the place, and it was deleted…only people who have the option to delete the comments is the poster and the ones running the page. Again….if I’m going to pay $25 for a buffet, I want to be able to eat $25 worth of food…not have to sit and wait an hour for clams and butter. I don’t mind driving an hour for food…I do it all the time. I plan on giving them another chance…but then again..I’m...
Read moreI'm going to do my best to leave a fair review. We went for breakfast and drove about 30 min to get here, seeing it advertised on Facebook. First a positive, the owner was very sweet and she was working hard and checking on everyone. It was very much a home style vibe where you mom comes around the make sure you eat enough. The building itself is pretty rough. The place is small and you are going to be walking on sticky painted subfloor. The tables are haphazardly placed so seating was a bit awkward. The food was a mix. The grits and eggs were not seasoned but there was salt and paper on every table to accommodate that. The sausage and biscuits and gravy were very good but the salmon patties were just ok. A bit dry for me. Fresh fruit was advertised online this day but I didn't see any on or near the bar. There are no fountain drinks. The price advertised was $8 for the buffet which is a fine price for the tiniest little buffet you've ever seen however when we got up to the register she told us the total was over $32 for 2 adult breakfast buffet and a can of soda. Then when I put my card in it was $25. That's better but still doesn't make sense when the total should have been less than $20. I personally won't be back. I think it's fine if you are in town and want something cheap but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way...
Read moreI knew I should have left the moment I walked in. Smelled awful. Buffet is small. I wouldn't even call it a salad bar. Wilted lettuce, different color cheese due to not being properly chilled. Small cups of few toppings. Food Lion and other brand dressings just sitting out. Had to ask for ranch because they had coleslaw ranch out. The seafood buffet was tiny and not fresh. So steamy you could barely see what was in there and tongs were too hot to touch. Nothing was crisp. All tasted very low quality and so disgusting. Just made me sick to my stomach. Tasted like they haven't changed the oil since they have opened. Water with no ice as it immediately melted. Even the water tasted fishy. Daughter said her tea tasted the same way. Hot bottles of nearly empty tartar sauce just set on the table. I'd be curious to know if they have any DHEC violations, if DHEC has even checked them. Daughter said the crab legs were best part but even they were just ok. She couldn't stomach extra. Asked for more melted butter and tea. Received the butter but not the tea so had to ask again. At checkout, I was asked how everything was and I said eh, it was just ok and explained how everything tasted like it was fried in old oil and was all just off putting. Nothing was said. I wish I hadn't even tipped. A waste of $61 for me...
