Visited Mill Pond Diner on 11/26; our server (4-1/2 guests)was Brittany. I had never been to the diner before and was happily pleased with the service and the food. Brittany was highly attentive and friendly; had a smile on and interacted with me in a very cordial and joyful manner. We made conversation on the menu items and the history of the dish names and the restaurant all the while she smiled and seemed genuinely pleased with us and the restaurant. She definitely brightened the experience and both sincerely greeted us and also wished us wellbeing and happiness upon our departure.

Ordered the food and it was on the table in minutes. The food was delicious and well made. The eggs were fluffy and tasteful and the potatoes crispy. Something I’ve never had before was a toasted biscuit with the sausage gravy. This little difference was a treat and increased the satisfaction and the value of biscuits and gravy for me. I am forever changed and will never look at another biscuit and gravy the same. To explain, most biscuits are crumbly and dry. But this toasted biscuit was on another level. It was easy to cut and had a level of crispiness while still being soaked in tasty gravy beyond what I can describe. I am definitely coming back for more.

There’s plenty of parking and every booth has a view of the lively road. I say this because it’s not a busy city restaurant but one in a small town and most places usually don’t have big windows to look outside. Milk Pond Diner has big windows and you can see the ongoings outside. For a moment you can enjoy the detached feeling from inside enjoying an amazing meal while watching cars/people go on about...

This place is amazing! The food was great and our server was fantastic—super friendly and attentive.

However, I did want to mention one issue. There was a coworker (I didn’t catch her name, but she was wearing red and had reddish hair) who was being very rude to her colleagues. She wasn’t our server, but she was loudly yelling at our server in front of the whole restaurant. “Where the hell are you going they’re looking for their check.” I feel as though it could have been brought up very more politely and she did not have to yell it. It’s one thing to address a problem in private, but it’s completely unprofessional and degrading to do it in public like that with active customers in the restaurant.

It honestly just made her look bad, it was rude and very degrading. Then she proceeded to give the other servers a “stink eye” through out the entirety of our meal. Making it very noticeable. As someone who works in service industry as well, supposed to work with your team mates not against them. No matter how “weeded” or busy you are. I usually do not comment like this but our server was very hard working and then that happened and made everyone feel uneasy.

Otherwise, everything else...

Food was out of this world we had a homemade meatloaf dinner with french fries and fresh vegetables and gravy we also had a Thanksgiving sandwich on Texas toast bread with homemade potato salad it was remind me so much of my grandmother's. The food came out hot and fresh and quickly the service used social distancing and face coverings. It was very friendly and helpful. Explain everything. They also took cash which was wonderful as we do not usually use credit cards of any type. We're looking forward to going here again as we used to but we will go to the cape to go fishing many times during the week. It is definitely a worthwhile trip to take that extra mile off the highway into Wareham to eat. We also took home some homemade oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies. They were so good I started eating the cookies on...

Food was great. They were serving both breakfast and lunch when we got to the diner. I had the Belgian waffle with bananas and strawberries( hidden under the whip cream), a cheese and spinach omelet with rye toast, home fries and sausage links. My bf had the Ben and J.lo. it seemed to be a twist on a Benedict with a a little kick in the sauce. I believe the menu said "spice for her". Always a good experience everytime I eat here. The woman who served us was very nice as well. Look forward to next time.

We went on a Sunday morning. First time here. We walked through the door and noticed you have to seat yourself. Awesome! Love it! As a mom to 2 VERY impatient 8 yr olds, this was a plus.We were greeted by our waitress who quickly took our order. Waitress was pleasant. Diner is cute and gives you the old school diner feel. Food is pretty good. My only complaint would be the homefries. They need to be cooked more. Also seasoned. They were gross. Everything else was great.
