First thing you need to know is if you need a quick in and out for breakfast then this is most definitely not the place. You can expect a 30-45 minutes wait to receive a basic breakfast take out order even if they are not busy but expect even longer wait times if they have a few customers. Food time score: 1 out of 5
Second thing you need to know is the prices that you see listed as the first menu photo on google is not very accurate, or they have jacked up their prices recently and that’s a negative look speaking they have only been in business a short time. The listed $7.50 chicken and waffles plate is $11.95 in reality, the $5 chicken biscuit is $7.50 in reality and that same pattern goes for most of the other menu items as well so keep that in mind. Consistency of menu score: 0 out of 5
Lastly, the food is pretty bad at least from my experience anyway. Everything was stone cold when I received it. One of the pancakes was burnt black on one side, the hash-browns greasy and undercooked pretty much like just eating thawed out raw potatoes cuts that are cold in the center, the scrambled eggs where overcooked and had a hard leather like texture on the outside with a strange burnt grease flavor; the white gravy taste exactly like the instant powder gravy you get in the cheap packets at the dollar store but the biscuit was actually OK, but unfortunately the pancake plate had to be trashed rather quickly. Food quality score: 1 out of 5
The building was acceptably presentable on the outside deck, and did appear to maintain cleanliness on the inside at least from what I could see, the historic theme is nice. Cleanliness score: 4 out of 5
Overall score: 1 out of 5 stars
Final Thoughts: There’s definitely a lot of room for major improvements from consistency of online pricing versus pricing in person, food serving times to quality of food served. With some foundational restaurant issues corrected and resolved the potential is there for this place to be successful but it’s going to require some serious training and management work to make that achievable. Customers are willing to pay the higher price tags for quick service and quality food, but currently as it stands this restaurant is clearly suffering in those departments at...
Read moreThis is such an adorable place with soooo much potential, I honestly believe with some new management who will properly train their staff on how to properly cook the food and the waitress staff how it's very important to communicate with your customers and when they're not busy to keep your customers Coffee, Tea etc. flowing. Our waitress was precious, but not properly trained, she refilled our coffee once. One of us ordered the Country Ham breakfast because it came with Red Eye gravy, we were so excited about the red eye gravy. Plate was brought out without the red eye gravy and were told it was cooking, ask about the gravy 15 minutes later and was told the cook was very busy, with only 6 other customers in restaurant, waitress would never even look at us after that. Never did get the red eye gravy, which was the whole reason for ordering the Country Ham breakfast. I later had to flag waitress down to ask for glass of water, as I was completely out of coffee and was about to choke on Biscuit. My Sister had to ask a girl cleaning tables for me some water. We ask her to please tell our waitress we needed a to go box and our check. That sweet girl brought us a to go box and water and we gave her $5.00 for bringing water and to go box. About 10 minutes later our waitress finally brought check. I so wished I lived here, because I would love to just go in and properly train the staff and make this place so successful. I grew up in a hometown restaurant business from my grandmother then onto my Mother. Always smile, be friendly and take care of your customers. That's where your paycheck comes from. Best of luck to this adorable place. P.S. The Coffee and Delano Omelet were great. The atmosphere was a little odd and I think it was because the waitresses were probably catching flack from customers about their food. From the reviews I've read, after I left mine, it seems like so many people are rooting for this place to succeed, they're just wanting better service and food. Teach your staff to be curtious and...
Read moreI have been twice. Being locals, my wife and I were excited to see vegetarian options on the menu. On our first visit we went around 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday with another couple. One of our friends ordered the pork chops and the other, gravy and biscuits. Our friends told us the pork chops were over cooked and tough and the gravy and biscuits had to be sent back because they were cold. When we asked about the vegetarian items, the wait staff did not seem to have a good understanding of the menu items and they were a bit inefficient. I personally attributed this to their only having been open for two weeks. Today, my wife and I went back again at around 6 p.m. on a Wednesday. There were three other tables occupied in the restaurant part of the building (there is an attached bar). No staff were there to greet and seat us. After waiting a moment, we seated ourselves. A waitress came out to two of the other tables, one of them was right next to us. The waitress did not acknowledge us at all. A simple, "I'll be right with you" to let us know that she even saw us would have been nice. She disappeared into the back and after a few more moments, we decided to leave. I want this to be a good place and I want it to be successful. We definitely need some good places to eat with different menu options in this area. The wide-ranging hours of operation are great. Unfortunately, our two visits have left us with a...
