Angels is simply one heck of a "hidden gem". I grew up on Yum-Yum Donuts so obviously the bar for donuts was pretty high in my mind. After reading some of the other reviews, I decided to try something new and I am so glad I did. First, the donuts. I got a dozen donuts, picking each one from the display once I arrived - ended up with a good assortment of cream-filled, jelly, chocolate cake, coconut, maple bacon, etc. A nice variety to see if there were any stand-outs among the group...and they were all fantastic! Nice and crispy on the outside but very soft and delicious on the inside, every one of them. In other words, every donut you'll get will be great it just depends on your preferences for flavor and type. Next, the service. The owner is so incredibly sweet and friendly, at no time did I feel rushed picking my donuts and she made lovely conversation. Her warmness truly adds to the overall experience and just for that alone this place deserves 5 stars! But as stated above, the donuts really are pretty perfect. Such was my experience today at Angel donuts. It is rare that I want to review a restaurant based on employees alone. But I have to say, this place not only has exceptional donuts, but on my first visit here, I was charmed by the wonderful service of this quaint shop nestled between a cell phone store and a laundromat.
