Checkers — Restaurant in Warner Robins

I know you can't please all of the people all of the time and I know you won't please one person all of the time HOWEVER I was very pleased this past week when my grandson and I had a hunger attack at the same time while out and about. We agreed on Checker's though he was a bit apprehensive. When asked why, he said the customer service usually stinks. My daughter told me the same thing but I had to differ with them both. I don't always get bluebirds, roses and rainbows, but 96% of the time I get a pleasant person to take my order and fill it. Today was no exception. Brianna was very nice and patience with us and so was Miss Deborah. After placing our order and driving to the window to pick it up I was at a loss where my debit card was. Brianna sweetly said take your time, after I took a breath I was able to put my hands right on it. She smiled, took my card and handed us our order which included FRESH fries, which is always a plus for me. I asked was her name Deborah, before she could answer Deborah approached the window with a huge smile on her face and said "no, her name's Brianna, I'm Deborah". I told her thank you because I know the name on the receipt is not always the one doing the service and I'm a writer of reviews. They both laughed. I took my receipt, was told to have a nice day and as we drove away my grandson said, "Wow Mia that never happens". I asked what? He said "service at Checker's without an attitude and with a 😁". I told him sometimes it's the spirit you bring into an atmosphere that is reflected back and yes sometimes, people just have a nasty spirit. He said "yep, yep, you right"! Oh, and yes the food was hot and greasy but delicious. But isn't that what we love about Checker's...

UPDATE: 2/3/2022 When we went today we got a Buford meal, 5pc Fry season Tenders, 2 fry lovers fries, LG fry, and 2 chocolate shakes. The chocolate shakes were not even close to being shakes, more like cold milk and had an odd taste. The fries were a blob of grease and we're not crunchy. The Buford bun was soggy and disgusting. The chicken was rubber and nasty. Also they didn't give us the sauce we ordered. My previous review was 5 stars because they were doing so well. Today's meal was $30.77 of garbage. I'll go to a decent restaurant if I have to pay that much and get much better food. Would give zero stars if possible.

This place has gotten significantly better. We had stopped eating checkers because of how bad the food had been the last few times we went. The food is usually good, for what it is, and the prices are good as well. My only complaint is the service, sometimes it's fine and the worker is friendly, but sometimes not so much. For example, we were at the drive thru and I had just paid for our food and I asked if I could get a strawberry stacker(ice cream sundae),she told me that they do have them but it could not be added on at the window. That would be understandable, except, there was no one else in line behind us,in fact we were there only people there, but we still had to drive around in a circle to pull back around to the drive thru and order my ice cream. That is pretty ridiculous to me, I don't see the point in yes pulling back around like that, she could have just made the order separate while we were sitting at the window... just one example of the lack of desire to provide good service to the customers.
