We went for the first time this evening (Friday, 10/14/22), to try this place out.
It was early evening, so there wasn't a crowd, no waiting. We were seated quickly, and chips/salsa were brought soon after. Our drink order and appetizer order was taken promptly - the drinks and cheese deep came to the table pretty quickly.
The chips were warm, the salsa tasty, but not spicy/hot at all - pleasantly mild, great for those who don't like their tongues blasted with cilantro before the main course!
By the time the drinks and cheese dip came, we were ready to order - to be fair, we'd looked at the menu pretty extensively on their Facebook page.
My wife had the California burrito, while I ordered the Churo-Pollo.
The wait wasn't long, and the food was brought to the table piping hot.
The burrito was huge - my eyes popped when it arrived. She said it was delicious.
The Churro-Pollo looked nice, with beans and rice. The beans and rice are standard Tex-Mex affairs, nothing special about them. The chicken with the sausage was very good!
We'll be back for more from this new restaurant. For our money (competitively priced with every other restaurant in town), Sol Azteca is the best thing going in Mexican/Tex-Mex in...
Read moreThis place was our go-to Mexican restaurant for the last couple of years, but our recent visits have had a sudden shift. Our server was extremely monotone, inattentive to the most basic of needs, and quite frankly rude. I ordered the Birria dinner and was served a beef jerky bone-dry slab of meat below room temperature. Everything my family of 5 ordered was barely warm. The kid's fries were also old and stale. After I mentioned it to our server, she became even more distant and unpleasant. I brought up the issue when we were paying because I was still being charged for the Birria even though I took a different option after the disgusting mess I was served originally. They changed it and asked me why it was disgusting, but did nothing even to attempt to apologize for the situation. I didn't even get a verbal apology. Instead, the woman who was training a new cashier rolled her eyes at me. This place has changed for the worse. Do yourself a favor when choosing a Mexican restaurant in the area: drive into Warner Robins (105 Bowling Dr B), and eat at Luis Mexican Food and Grill. Literally a 10/10 restaurant that cares about...
Read moreDidn’t care for this place AT ALL. The waitress was nice and all, but I got the Alambre Fajitas and it had pineapple in it, which was not only nasty but was the guys from the table beside us. All was well from then on because they quickly corrected it, but the birria tacos my daughter ordered are NOT birria. The consommé is good, but don’t blow smoke up my butt guys…. That meat in those tortillas is NOT birria meat. Period.
The Alambre Fajitas were honestly some of the most bland fajitas I’ve ever had. I had to bring the dish home and add seasoning to them and recook just so my meal would taste good.
Maybe they were just having a bad day… my wife had been here numerous times before I came with her and she liked every visit, so I will give them that.
The rice and beans were average. The service was barely decent… they weren’t even busy and it was rare to see our waitress stop and check on us. In fact, we had to flag down another waitress to tell her that my order was completely wrong.
NEVER...
