I have wanted to eat here for a while, since I first heard about how awesome it is. Saturday evening, I called and asked if they could take a party of 11, if they couldn't I would have totally understood. The answer I was given was "yes we can." 13 minutes later we arrived. The girl at the front desk asked how many we had, I told her 11 and that I just called a few minutes before to see if they could accommodate 11. She suddenly got an attitude and said it will be a 30 minute wait. I told her that we didn't mind the 30 minute wait time. I was excited to finally get to go there. After a few minutes, I saw more and more people show up and get seated. It was 4 different couples and some had children. All were sat relatively close to each other. I didn't say anything. I just thought maybe they didn't want to us to use that many tables and wanted us to wait for a long table. 40 minutes go by and we still have not been seated or even acknowledged after the initial sign in on the waiting list. Mind you, I had my children with me, my son being autistic. I have to give him a play by play everywhere we go so he knows what to expect. When I told him we were trying something new, he was hesitant and then became happy after he smelled the amazing smells coming from the restaurant. An entire hour had passed, still no response or update from the girl at the front desk. We went to the desk to ask about an update and she said " we wont be able to seat you, the people at the long table are camping out." So, after all this time, nobody could even let us know that they weren't going to be able to seat us, or that it was going to be well over an hours wait time? After wasting our time sitting there waiting and being ignored, we called Meakan, asked if they could seat us this close to closing time since we wasted so much time at this point, The assured us they could. We got there a few minutes later, and they sat us right away. They made sure they had a place ready for us even though they were crazy busy. That was great customer service, Thai Pepper can learn a lot about customer service from them. I am very disappointed at this situation. It has deterred me from wanting to go back based on how the front desk chose to handle things with a...
Read moreThis was my second trip to Thai Pepper, I had a negative experience a few years ago, but my husband wanted to give it another try. They have remodeled within the last year, and it looks really modern and nice now! The service was friendly. My husband ordered the fried tofu and Tom-Yum soup as appetizers. He liked the fried tofu, but we both immediately did not like the smell of the Tom-Yum soup when it arrived (it reminded us of the smell of feet), so he exchanged it for Miso soup and liked it better. We ordered a kid’s teriyaki chicken meal (chicken, vegetables, and rice) for our daughter, and it was a bigger portion than expected, and tasty! We ordered sushi rolls for dinner (they have a very extensive sushi menu with fun names for the rolls) - my husband chose the Kevin Bacon roll and Mad Scientist roll, while I picked the Salmon Lovers Salmon roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese, and asparagus inside with avocado and more salmon laid on top). My husband preferred the Mad Scientist roll over the Kevin Bacon one, but he was also pretty full after the appetizers and a little of our daughter’s meal. I absolutely loved my Salmon Lovers Salmon roll! My roll didn’t come to the table with asparagus inside, but with more avocado instead - though, I didn’t mind the change since I’m not a big fan of asparagus. I have tried similar salmon rolls before at other restaurants (usually dubbed Philly roll in other places - minus the extra ingredients on top and typically with cucumber instead of asparagus), but this one was my favorite by far. If you like salmon rolls, I highly recommend it. Overall, my opinion of this restaurant has made quite a shift in the positive direction from my initial visit, I am happy to say. We will definitely...
Read moreI went in on Mon, Mar 31st, during dinner hours to get 2 to go dinners. I hadn't decided what I wanted, so I asked the young lady cashier if I could sit at the small table closest to her station to decide and order from there, to which she said yes. I was ready in 3 minutes and she never left the cashier station which was 4 ft from my table. I told her two times I was ready to order, to which she said yes and then looked forward and never moved. A lady came out of the kitchen and I asked her if she could take my order to which she looked at the cashier and told her to take my order. She shook her head and again didn't move to take my order. I can also add that it was practically empty with only 2-4 people there, and no one had come in the door while this all happened. So on my last try, I spoke with a slightly sterner voice and asked "Ma'am do I need to stand up and come to you to get my order?". She finally took my order. I am mature enough to know that when a restaurant disrespects you and shows zero respect or tact that you should leave but I was tired, and my employee had asked specifically for an Asian rice dish. Now, as if this this wasn't enough, the menu had prices on the front but none on the back for the Chicken Thai Rice and Massaman Curry I ordered. I get the order and $40 plus change!! I could have got those at Thai Sushi for $13.99 a piece! Terrible service and deceptive marketing practices! I guess that's why only 2-4 people were in there. Please, Warner Robins, let these people know we don't appreciate these kinds of business practices in our town and go to one of the many restaurants in the city that will treat you with...
