To sart, I'll say that their service was comically slow. Like, it was almost disrespectful. The woman behind the bar said they would be right with us. That was, in fact, a lie. We were left standing at the entrance long enough that it discouraged other patrons from entering the restaurant. They only had one server for their entire dining area and without a busser. He was very polite but clearly overworked and tables were left occupied with dishes for far longer than what is acceptable in the restaurant industry.
We had gone for brunch but by noon they were no longer serving breakfast items. My mouth watered for the eggs Benedict I saw at the table next to us. My sister and brother in law both said their breakfast was exceptionally good, and had warned that their lunch and dinner items were kinda of so-so. We had already stood waiting for at least 15 minutes, and our only other alternative was Dunkin Doughnuts 🤮.
The mimosa My sister had was insanely weak, and resembled an overpriced orange juice. My brother in law said the same about his screwdriver. My Bloody Mary tasted like artificially flavored bacon, V8, and bud light. Thank the stars they had a selection from feathered friend brewery. My girlfriend abstained from having a brunch drink without actual brunch.
The Mac and cheese my brother in law had did look and smell good and the garlic bread was also good. The chicken tenders my sister had were crispy on the outside but the meat was very dry like it had been left under a heat lamp and forgotten. My girlfriend was the last to get her meal and had to watch the server walk around the entire dining room while the server feilded questions and requests before she got it. She said her burger was fine but not great. The Ruben I had was served with coleslaw instead of the traditional sour kruat (I guess I had missed that in the description) and the corned beef was dry and chewy almost like a jerky and would have made better dog treats. Their French fries were made in house which typically means they should be good but they were soft and rubbery and lacked any sort of crispiness. Honestly, the only thing on my plate that I couldn't complain about was the pickle.
Reeds needs to get someone separate from their only server to clear tables and run food, have better pours than what you find at a VFW (or reflect it in their pricing), and extend their brunch hours back to 2pm, or surrender the location to a company like Tuckers who knows what they're doing. Their dinner menu is not great and they treat their only server like he's working off an Indentureship.

Read moreI am torn here. On the one hand, Reed's North needs to be celebrated... on the other hand I don't want this special place to be overrun (but, my honesty and hopes for their massive success compels me to straight talk) -- ok, time for the review.
Reed's North is one of, if not THE, best burger you have ever eaten. I'm not talking "good" for NH or "pretty good", I'm talking one of the best burgers you can get on this planet.
We are Bostonians so endless "gourmet" burgers are at our disposal when back home. However, we have a ski shack in Bradford, NH and we were curious to find out what was new with Reed's newly opened space in Warner center.
The space is super cute, the staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating, but it's the food that steals the show! On a recent mid-week trip up to Mount Sunapee I decided to take the plunge. I ordered the flannel burger (hold the corned beef) and fries. The staff welcomed me into the busy corner restaurant and called me by name as they packed up my lunch. The smell in the car was the first clue!
I got to my house 10mins later and unpacked what was about to be heaven. I had little expectation other than the handful of reviews that said this was going to be a "good" burger -- don't believe reviews, this burger was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!
When my wife and kids arrived a couple of days later, I couldn't wait to get their feedback. We ordered the same thing and this time it was even better! My 19yo son, scarfed down the burger, literally, in 90-seconds pausing only only to say, "this burger SMACKS" repeatedly. I was already halfway through my burger when my wife came in unaware of the real-time feedback. We said nothing as she took her first bite, her eyes lit up and she just said, "wow, this is REALLY good".
Reed's North is the real deal. These are wonderful people committed to feeding other wonderful people. They do it with a smile and they do it with the culinary expertise that stops you dead in your tracks when you take your first bite.
If you're skiing (or swimming) at Sunapee, up to see foliage, day-tripping for a hike, a bike, a rock-climb, or antiquing, you owe it to yourself to stop for lunch or dinner at Reed's North!
Hell if you want the best burger within 90-minutes of Boston just get in the car and drive....
Read moreWe ate lunch here before touring the Telephone Museum (also super awesome) on Saturday 8/20 and were extremely pleasantly surprised at the fresh and delicious meals brought out to us by the accommodating and super friendly waitress. Our daughter had the fried shrimp and fries basket and both my husband and I had their turkey sandwich with fries and both were extraordinarily fresh and topnotch delicious! The fries were the best fries I've had at a restaurant in years, I think. Wow is all I can say! We originally planned to eat at the place down the street called The Kitchen, but the owner of that place has made a point of whimsically closing whenever he's too busy with his catering company out of Portsmouth (what a ridiculous way to run a business!). We're SO GLAD it was closed because we found a gem of a local spot as a go-to to have a comfortable and casual meal now, which we probably would not have found had it not been for this fortuitous accident. Thank you to everyone at Reed's North who understands completely what great, fresh, and delicious food is! I have to give kudos as well to the level of cleanliness and attention to safe-food-handling too because everything in the condiment caddy was super clean and I was overwhelmingly impressed with general cleanliness of the entire establishment. This place will never let The Kitchen get a foothold on the restaurant eating-public in this area in my opinion!! I just moved to Hopkinton with my husband from Pennsylvania to be closer to our daughter in Concord, and have been looking for gems like this for months now! I may never eat at The Red Blazer again now that I found this awesome local place. Thank you AGAIN and well done,...
