Jack's Nestegg Diner — Restaurant in Warren

This is the first (and last) time that we have been to / will go to this little (unknown) hole in the wall place to get food. We were the ONLY customers there and yet it took almost 35 minutes to get our food. My son ordered a fish sandwich with coleslaw (as he didn't want fries) and yet he got fries anyways (and NO coleslaw), I asked for a "large" salad and got what would be every one else's "side" salad and was given a huge bottle of GFS dressing to use (the salad was way over priced at over $5.00) and my daughter got a burger and fries (the fries were pretty nasty to be honest), I had to go to the counter and ask for straws, and to go containers after waiting on them to finish making the next mornings food before making our food and they didn't even have lids for the to go cups. When it came time to pay the bill I had to go up to the counter and ask what I owed, as the huge sloth like waiter wouldn't bring it to the table, (my bill was almost $30.00 for 2 ice teas, 3 sandwiches, 2 fries and a "large" salad), I could have honestly gotten better food and better service at better prices from ANY other restaurant in the area with a better selection of food choices (the menu is so small and leaves a lot to be desired, I have more food in my home kitchen than they did at this crappy little diner with no parking). You can't even see the name on the door unless you are really looking for it as it is in the middle of a residential area and the name of this place is almost non-existent on the door....

I will never go back to jacks and it’s not because of the food. I ordered food on the phone, waited 40 minutes and went in to grab it. As soon as I told the lady at the counter that i was there for my food She says “okay, do you want change back and are you leaving a tip?” Of course I was going to, I just didn’t get to that moment yet. I told her “yeah” And then she proceeds to tell me “Okay I’ll just give you 5 back” Which everything I got came up to 29$ and some change and I gave her 2 20’s. She hands me my change back and I take it and she goes “I thought you were going to tip” The irritation I felt from the entire situation could have been avoided if the lady wasn’t tip hungry, I get you guys made the food and stuff, and I was ready to compensate for that but you can’t just stand there and force a tip out of somebody. I gave her the tip, and left and I will not be back. Use to be a good place to go to now it’s atmosphere is not right anymore. Every worker in there had some type of attitude behind the counter in front of customers. If you don’t enjoy your job that much, work somewhere else because your attitude also matters when making the food for your paying customers. Nobody wants a hateful and greedy plate.

I am not pleased!!! I used to love this place. The woman who took our order was touching food without gloves and never washed her hands!!! This is unsanitary regardless and now with COVID gloves should have been worn. Jack didn’t cook there was a different guy cooking the food and he wasn’t wearing gloves and the food was undercooked! Jack always cooks good and his food is amazing but now that he isn’t cooking and because they aren’t taking precautions with COVID I will not be returning I’m sorry jack no offense to you! And it took us over 30 minutes to get an omelet and two eggs that were undercooked. This is sad because Jack is a great man and I loved coming here but until he cooks and they are up to code with wearing gloves I’m not...
