Sorrento Pizza — Restaurant in Warren

I had made a review a few years ago now I'm changing it to a 1 star because how RUDE they were with my order. When I called them I asked them if I could have 3 stake calzones but 1 with no mushrooms and if you could write on that box NO MUSHROOMS so I know which one, they said ok...I get my order and all 3 of them have mushrooms when I called them to let them know their excuse was they were BUSY and could not make another one so my dad brings 1 of them back to exchange for a new one with no mushrooms they would not do it because they were busy and they told us that we didn't have proof that all had everything on it so we either keep it or give everything back and they will refund us cause they are to busy to help us...WOW! What nice people they are for that definitely lost customers from this and we been coming here for...

I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, but every single time I'm in Detroit, I take the trip over to 9 Mile to visit this truly precious gem of a restaurant. On my last trip, we ate a lot of pizza: Buddy's, Jet's, and Sorrento's. Of the 3, Sorrento's was far and away the best.

The pepperoni are crispy, small, and cupped with grease, sitting on top the coast to coast cheese. The sauce is fairly sweeter than Buddy's or Jet's, but in a way that brings the entire dish together. The crust is perfectly crispy on the edges, yet spongy underneath. This is the real deal. You're able to order slices, but go ahead and just order a pizza as a medium cost us like $11 - a true bargain for the quality and compared with Buddy's, the same size cost apx. $22.

Had been coming here for years during my high school years and for lunch while I worked on the road. I live close to a JET'S Pizza and usually go there, but decided to have something different for a change. I decided on Sorrento. I decided on what was described as a pan, deep dish pizza. Well to my surprise the pizza had a high back crust but very thin crust for the rest of pizza. The crust was dry and lacked flavor. In fact the whole pizza had lacked flavor from what I had remembered from days gone by. I had three slices and throw the rest of the pizza away the following morning. My dad decided to try a slice before I throw it out and even he said it was terrible. I don't know what might have happened over the years or what might had changed but this was not...
