Warren Family Coney Island — Restaurant in Warren

Getting tired of coming in and people come in after us, and they get their order taken first. The was one table getting ready to leave and we were the only other table until a table of 3 came in. We get our drinks by the cook and the waitress takes over the drinks for the others that just came in and take their order. Umm, we were already here and the waitress didn’t even check to see if we were ready to order (which we were), before she took them. I got tired of dealing with that at another restaurant down the street and don’t really go anymore. The kicker is, this waitress used to work there mostly cleaning tables and bringing drinks. Oh! And someone can just walk in and place a small carry out (not an order called in or DoorDash) and get their stuff before the people already waiting? Orders should be made in the order they were received in. One waitress to do the floor, register and carry outs and...

Was feeling the need for coneys again so, Google to the rescue and off to Warren Family. A soft-spoken young woman was busy taking both to-go orders and dealing with dine-in customers as well as running the register. She did an great job and remained upbeat & professional throughout. The place is clean, bright, open and quiet. Tile floors and marble table tops don't often help with that. And the radio was at a perfect volume, audible but not intrusive. Their menu isn't as extensive as some but has quite a lot to offer. Tuesdays coneys are just $0.99 each. I got two coneys, as usual. The dog has a good chew to it, the onions have a kick and the buns are warm and soft. For a coney that is all I need.

Ordered breakfast. Not the greatest impression. Their claimed to be "fluffy" cheese omlette as stated on the menu was squished flat like a quesadila...about a quarter of an inch thick. An egg wrapped cheese quesadilla. Pancakes tasted like old grease and the hashbrowns, although browned perfectly.... left an unpleasant aftertaste. The price is slightly better than most diners around here....but its not worth the discount. We may give it another chance one day hoping it was just an "off" day today or something....but if the 2nd experience is the same......there won't be a third time. Sorry guys....
