Found this place by inviting a friend to lunch at the same name place in Aurora and she went here. We met up with her and have been almost weekly! No matter what’s time we go, we always get the Mongolian Chicken with the chicken fried rice. The lunch special comes with egg roll, soup, and a meal. The spicy level of the Mongolian Chicken gets you with just enough spice to make your nose run! It’s amazing!! You can get white rice as well. Other items we have had - potstickers, wonton chips, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, pepper steak, mushu pork, and more that I can’t remember. It is family owned and ran with many locals. The atmosphere is a whole in the wall place, but bigger. The bathrooms could use a remodeled.

I had been to East China Inn a few times before the pandemic and recently went again with a large party of friends. I did not know what to expect here. For many restaurants, inflation has hit hard. The prices have gone up and the quality of service has gone down due to not being able to find the right staff. That's not the case here. I found the staff to be courteous, food to be tasty and the prices to be reasonable. Definitely worth checking out. Here are some of the dishes that I would recommend: hot and sour soup, schezwan supreme, beef chow fun, shrimp fried rice. I'm sure there are other good dishes here too but these are the ones that we got and liked.

Unfortunately, this restaurant isn’t what it used to be. We used to go to East China Inn either at this location or the one in Batavia and the food was amazing. Unfortunately, now the food is just OK. Very little people ….we decided on the sweet-and-sour chicken lunch special, this includes the chicken, white rice, and soup. It was one dollar extra for the eggroll, but I never even got it. The fried rice was also just OK.

Great food an friendly staff

Updated August 8th 21'

Attempted to place order today and person who answered the phone was RUDE, they would NOT tell me their name saying it was their first day...

This place is usually FANTASTIC but today is now on my "no go" list.

Response from owner- my reply

Note: I was Never loud, rude or disrespectful to your new employee on their first day. I have been a loyal customer of yours since you opened over 25 years ago. BUT, since your employee was il mannered and you laughed it off, I have chosen to use your competition. Across the street that has equally good food AND has set up delivery with out issue. A simple apology would had sufficed but you chose to argue. You chose to "laugh". FYI my reviews have been seen over 200,000 times.
