Summerlakes Park Warrenville — Attraction in Warrenville

Great playground, has multiple colorful structures for toddlers to run around as well as climbing wall and another sporting area within a walking distance. Playground has nice covered canopy area to hide under scorching sun and well groomed grass & trees which provide a nice picnic spots. But the playground is missing “sandbox” which I have noticed quite a few in this area don’t have a sandbox. We recently moved to Warrenville from Aurora and most playgrounds are very close by but no sand around anywhere. While my kid used to spend 95% of his outside activity in the sand. We now have all those big toys and sand forms laying around helplessly in a garage.

Aurora & Naperville area playgrounds all have sandboxes so I’m just confused why Warrenville doesn’t. Does anyone know how to request it to be built into local playgrounds? Not no mention lack of splash pads in this area. All in all it’s great to have them playgrounds around and this particular park is nice and spacious with additional fields for baseball with simple green meadow. Anyway great place just...

This is a nice little park off the beaten path. It has a traditional playground area for young children with slides and climbing obstacles, a concrete skateboard area for older kids and a really nice challenge/obstacle course area that even has a clock to track your time to finish the challenge. A long running grid also gives kids and adults an additional race challenge area. The challenge course is laid out on an "astroturf"like ground and has great drainage underneath keeping it dry. There's a nice covered picnic Pavillion and benches to sit on for resting. The only downside was there are no swings...

Very cool little park. Has a decent sized play area for all ages. Wood chips (mulch) on the ground so wear tennis shoes. It has a neat little obstacle course that has a start/finish button and tracks your time. Same idea on a small sprint track. Offers covered pavillion with six picnic tables, tennis court, baseball fields, and a small skate park.
