EDIT: the owner feels this review is fraudulent and questions how such a simple drink could be so bad? I agree, how could it have been so bad yet so simple. I also question how my time stamped receipt and photos of my disgusting meal makes me a fraud? I leave reviews like this only because people read them and that’s why the owner is responding by trying to take away my credibility. I’m a level 7 guide with 5 million views. I’m not a fraud, check out my profile.
$29.99 for the ribeye you see in the photo. Beware it's a super THIN cut of meat. The worst quality steak you could find in Walmart, even a flank or flat iron, would be better than this steak. It was truly inedible. The side of mashed potatoes is very similar to the quality of mashed potatoes you'd find in a school or nursing home (clearly a giant bag of instant potatoes that they don't even season with salt/pepper/butter: utterly FLAVORLESS). My Caesar salad didn't have shaved Parmesan or really any Parmesan, just Kraft wood pulp. I think it was fraudulent to advertise this meal for $29.99. It was so horrible we abandoned the meal and went to Hilltop and had BBQ so it didn't ruin my wife’s birthday.
I would HIGHLY advise going to R-Bar. They take a lot of pride in the quality of their menu. I would NEVER buy a steak from here again unless ownership changed. I wouldn't eat their mashed potatoes for free. We only came here because R-Bar isn't open on Wednesday and we really wish we had just waited to go out. We will never, ever return here. My wife's drinks from the bar were horrible. It was the worst meal we have ever had out. It is fraud and false advertising to sell that ribeye meal for $29.99. I could cook up a better steak meal in a hurricane on a charcoal chimney starter. I'm sad for the waitress who had to present that to us. I don't even blame the cook. The quality of meat and ingredients they're working with reminds me of my military days. It doesn't matter what the owners want to say, they took $90 out of my pocket last night on my wife's birthday for a meal that wasn't even fit to be sold commercially. It's a beautiful location but not worth the desperate price gouging. They need to lower prices until they can afford better quality ingredients. Until then I feel they're taking advantage of people who are just trying to go out for a meal and not get caught up in deceitful advertising. When you ask someone to pay $30 for a ribeye meal, either the steak or the sides need to be better quality than my Army days. I feel taken advantage of and robbed of $90. The only decent item I bought was a bud light and that's because it came in a bottle.
This is the only restaurant here in Warsaw I will tell people to avoid until...
Read moreI'm not one to write reviews or even complain about my food at restaurants, but I just had an awful experience. I've been here a few times since my folks live in Warsaw, but this particular time was terrible.
First, I came inside to get a table and was passed multiple times by staff not even asking if I've been helped. Second, the waitress that we got was clueless, but even then she tried a little. Then when my food came my steak was medium to well done. I ordered it rare. I don't like sending things back, but if I'm going to pay $21 for my dinner, I want it cooked right. The waitress said it wasn't the first time she's heard that and that the cook as new. She then said it would be a bit because the cook was backed up. This was fine because I could just take it with me and eat it later (by this time everyone else at the table was done eating). It didn't take too long before my steak came out. This time it was cold. I know I asked for rare, but you can't just nook a steak and expect anyone to be okay with it. Now I'm really upset, but kept my cool when I told the waitress that I was not going to eat it & if I could get it take off my bill. When my check came I was done with this place. They took $10 off which would be fine, but that means I spent $11 for three side items. To put this in perspective, my dad and brother received the same three side plus a main dish for $2-$3 less than what I was paying for just my sides. I was done giving them a chance to fix this. So, here I am letting strangers know about my bad experience. And, yes it did make me...
Read moreWe are frequent diners at the restaurant and hadn't been there for a couple of months. We decided to eat there tonight for dinner. We walked in and were headed to the table by the window and were told they were saving those big tables for large crowds. Immediately we were disappointed but, we went back and sat at the table in the corner. We ordered our drinks, looked at the menu and were surprised at how much the prices had gone up! We were there so we both ordered the chicken fried chicken and were surprised when the food came out. My chicken was a breast and was delicious. My boyfriend's chicken looked like they had stretched out a small piece of chicken and cooked it. He wouldn't let me send it back or say anything but, it was mostly breading and little chicken. Needless to say, I understand food has gone up but, the chicken should be a nice piece of meat. Also, NO ONE CAME IN TO SIT AT THE SPECIAL SAVED TABLES, SO WE COULD HAVE SAT THERE!! I Guess our money and comfort wasn't important enough to sit where we like!! Well, sad to say, we will not be back!!! Cost us 2 people to eat $45 including the tip. Maybe you should just turn the whole...
