My wifes mom passed away recently so I wanted to take my wife out for a nice meal. ...(There is only one place I go for Chinese food in Rhode island and that's DRAGON PALACE in HOPE VALLEY! even the dragon palace in Coventry doesn't compare to the one in hope valley. Their food and service has always been excellent in my opinion. ) .. Now on to Han palace I got home from work Saturday and wanted to take my wife out to eat but I didn't want to drive all the way to DRAGON PALACE in hope valley so I googled Chinese near me and looked at the ratings and reviews and there were good comments and 4.5 stars so I said to my wife lets try this Han palace. So we arrived there and the parking lot was full so I thought the food must be decent for the amount of cars there . Now we inside sitting down got our water and soda both tasted a little off but let it slide now our. Food come and i got boneless spare ribs and beef teriyaki. My wife got soup and sweet and sour chicken. ... My spare ribs and beef teriyaki .they were edible but both tasted the same and almost like burnt soy sauce or something so I drowned them with duck sauce so eat them and not waste. My wife ate about 1/2 her food and didn't care much for her meal either so we asked to get stuff boxed up. As our food was getting boxed up my wife noticed that there was some kind of bug in her soup it wasn't real big but clearly see the legs and body . Disgusted and immediately nosiated see got sick to her sthomac and had to go to the bathroom. The waitress went and talked to her manager after she says she's never seen anything like that happen but said it looked like a flying bug. So now the waitress comes back and says they will take the soup and drinks off the bill... With a bug in our food we were not paying a dime we left our food that got bagged up on the table and walked out.. . WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. AND HOPE NO ONE TRYS THIS PLACE BASED ON THEIR...
Read moreI stopped here because I live close I wanted some cooked veggies (hard to come by in Warwick, the land of pizza). I tried not to let the shabby exterior influence me. But the interior was not any better - very dark and outdated (and not in a charming way). But I was hungry so I ordered the mixed veggies and added bean sprouts. This came with rice. It was ready quickly and the amount was very generous - enough for 3 bowls with the white rice. It included many of my fav Asian veggies BUT after tasing I was so disappointed. The veggies were very overcooked and tasteless. Even after soy sauce (ant it was already swimming in sauce), it was bland - but now salty. Sorry - no recommendation here. update: I stopped in again with a friend we tried Mai Tais and wonton soup. Unfortunately this experience was no better than my first. The mai tais had a chemical flavor and we could not finish them. The bowl of wonton soup was very generous but not...
Read moreWeird experience. Called to make an order and tried to order cold sesame noodles which are on the menu online. Guy on the phone acted like he had no idea what I was talking about and made me repeat it like 5x he then put me on hold and came back and replied like he finally knew what I was talking about. Picked up my order and when I got home to take it out of the package it was noodles with about 1/2 cup of peanut blobbed on top with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Cold noodles with sesame sauce is supposed to be a peanut sesame sauce not just a giant glob of peanut butter. It was unbearable to eat. You people seriously need to put descriptions of your menu items because people like me who have ordered certain dishes at other restaurants expect something at least similar. This was ridiculous. It's as if someone took a handful of noodles, put them in a container and globbed peanut butter on top. Unbelievable. Egg rolls are...
