Pioneer Pizza House — Restaurant in Warwick

It’s been along time since I have experienced food like this, although I am a native of New England, I have been residing in the south for a number of years. Driving by, we stopped in by chance and experienced some of the finest food I have had in a very long time! They had 2 small tables, so we sat by the door, which was propped open allowing us to feel both the smell of freshly cooked pizza and a cool breeze. So- no this is not really a sit down type of place, but the staff made us feel at home while proudly proclaiming they had been in business since 1966! Something else too I noticed, these people don’t stand around looking at their phones- they work hard ! Our food was delivered piping hot and I was blown away by how good the meatball sub was. Definitely disappointed, last Wednesday went for fish and chips with my buddy. I heard they had the best fish and chips. I was worried cuz it's Wednesday and being in the restaurant world for along i figured it should be good since they serve it everyday. Poor to say the was rotted beyond anything I've ever smelled or tasted in my life. The smell was so horrible and the fact that the purple hair chef served it was very unacceptable. So even more disappointed when my friend that works there begged me not to tell the owner cuz he freaks out all the time. A friend of mine and I walked in last Wednesday. Well they see first impressions matter. The place looks like a dump. But after searching the place up and seeing all the positive reviews we decided to give it a shot. We get two orders of the fish and chips. When the cook was preparing are order I smelled like Oakland Beach at low tide. Right then I should have ran out the door. We decided to stay and give it a try. It was the worst food I ever had. The coleslaw taste like chemicals, I can't even explain it. And the fish was raw and tasted like bleach. I do have to say the service was excellent and courteous. I got home and was very sick throwing up several times.plus I had a pizza to go. The pizza was as good as your school cafeteria. I would have never left a bad review, except for the fact that after reaching out for a week and being told the owner would be contacting me he never did.I will never eat here again or would I recommend...
