Horrible placed an order for delivery, and received beef teriyaki instead of sweet and sour chicken. Younger boy took order and admitted to hitting wrong button but they refused to replace the order they messed up on and refused to refund the difference as the sweet and sour chicken cost less. Had to drive out to store and fight with staff to eventually get correct order. Also took my order back into the kitchen and started to go through the food on the prep table after they had already brought it out of the store.... possible health hazards due to rude and lackadaisical staff. Would recommend them to no one.
RE your response: Also would like to note as a family business having a young boy take the order and in fear from making a mistake lied to his parents after stating on the phone he must have hit the wrong button. Is it safe to assume that costumer is not always right at your business? If you are able to deliver food to my address but not fix your mistake then maybe you should not offer delivery to this area of town. All we requested was that we received the order we placed and you were unable to do so. Seeing as I had to drive out to your business and deal with this issue in person we did not want the order at all due to the headache you caused. Also I do not appreciate you posting my street publicly on social media and request you edit your comment. If this common practice to share your customers information what's to say you will not share other information such as phone number or credit card information. To clarify, we did eat a single egg roll and a single crab Rangoon prior to noticing your son's mistake taking the order. I even offered for you to take that out of the refund. The refund was reluctantly received after being disrespected on the phone. My fiancee, who does not need to be named either, was, as you can imagine, appalled by your business practices and stressed with this situation. Therefore I dealt with you in person at the restaurant and as I'm sure even you can agree with stayed professional yet adamant. I find it funny how this all could have been avoided however you failed to put the customer first. Now this first time and now former customer will do my best to show your lack of...
Read moreWhen judging/reviewing eateries such as takeout, it's important to keep things in perspective in order to manage your expectations as there is no perfect scenario - there will always be human error, service level will be difficult to track, and demand will likely be hard to predict. With that being said, Yummy Kitchen ranks as my fave Chinese takeout location. Food quality is above standard. From what I've had so far, everything has been prepared/seasoned better than any other location. Not heavily saturated/doused in sugary sauce or covered in MSG. All you have to do is try the General Tso to know that the chef is putting in the work. There were foods that were not seasoned to my preference but I found most items good. Eg., their dumpling fillings are too heavily marinated. If they could change that recipe, I'd eat there more often. Portions are generous and they at least attempt to differ themselves from others - ahem steak and cheese eggroll. Service is also above standard. I mean, what do you expect from a takeout? It's a quick deal so I'm sure it's difficult for them to track every customer but they have always been friendly to me - everyone says hi and smiles which is not that typical for Chinese takeout. The children tend to work the register and calls. They've once forgotten an item I ordered which was a fairly easy fix. From what I can tell, they're a hard-working family business. I've never ordered for delivery so I can't...
Read moreYummy kitchen was Yummy indeed!!! I got the sesame chicken combination plate (L2) and my wife got the general tso chicken (L1) The chicken especially was delicious! I also really liked the noodles for the chow mein... wouldve loved more of those...I shouldve asked! They have HUGE portion size and it was all steaming hot, and it got here in just about a half an hour! We had tried other Chinese food (since we've been in Warwick for about 4 mo. now) and had given up because it was just no good. My wife saw a pamphlet for this place at the hotel we're staying at and I'm very pleased that we gave it ONE LAST CHANCE!!! Definitely the best Chinese food in the area!!!! The staff seemed very courteous and patient with my many changes in my order! 😄 The only con was the pork fried rice, I was not a big fan. My wife ate it and enjoyed it, I think it was just a matter of preference. They did send white rice with my string beans so it compensated quite well! No...
