I found Neza through RI Food Fights' TacoMania and I have already been back a second time in less than 1 month. Thats how good this place is! The first time I tried the elotes, shrimp and octopus ceviche, carnitas and carne asada tacos paired with a michelada. It was all a 10/10, so good that I forgot to take a picture. They have a spicy salsa you can ask for if you are like me and enjoy heat. This time, we had mole enchiladas, veggie burrito and a california burrito. The photos speak for themselves! The portions are big, which I love. We again asked for spicy salsa and micheladas, just as great as the first time we ate here. The mole was sweet and savory, and they are so generous with the chicken. Its served with rice and beans on the side to compliment the dish. My friends said their burritos were amazing, even agreeing that this is the best Mexican restaurant they've been to. Service is very quick and everyone was so friendly. The decor is also very nice! If you haven't tried Neza, you are missing out on delicious and authentic Mexican food. I can't wait to come back!

This Mexican restaurant took over an old breakfast staple in the area. I was so excited to finally eat here after being teased pre-opening as I drove by its location almost daily. To be fair, I've eaten here 2 more times since then before writing this review. The salsa that comes with the bottomless nachos tastes really good--fresh. Overall, I like the novel menu items over and above the usual fare of tacos, enchilada, etc. For instance, the Camarones Puercos for appetizer which uses chicharron for breading. I also tried the Gorditas, Carne Asada, and Fajita. Did I mention that their sides taste really good? I fancy the way they season the black beans. Then there's the unique and priced right margaritas. I have personally ordered the Guavarita and Tamarindo and look forward to trying the Hibiscus flavored kind (Jamaica). The place can get a little noisy when full and the lights are too bright for my taste. Otherwise, this is a decent dine-in, individual or family-friendly neighborhood Mexican spot, for which I am happy.

First time going to Naza! Our regular Mexican places have been disappointing lately so we decided to try new. The chips&salsa was very good. The salsa is a perfect consistency (unlike other Mexican places where it is extremely watered down). For drinks we started with the tamarindo marg with a tajin rim (ofc) & the Neza old fashioned. They were amazing! I’m a spicy marg type of girl but I wanted to switch it up. For apps we had the ceviche and guac. We are ceviche snobs & this one was ON POINT. The guac was also very good. For entrees we had the shrimp tacos & the California burrito - also excellent 👌🏼. To finish we tried the tres leches which wasn’t as moist as we prefer but still had a great taste! If you’re thinking of going here - please do! Overall everything was clean and fresh! The atmosphere is perfect and the service is pleasant. We were extremely impressed & will definitely be back!

My wife & I decided on a whim to get Mexican food while driving home through this area, tried this place after seeing on Yelp. I had no expectations going in but WOW the food is AMAZINGLY GOOD. And boy howdy they do NOT skimp on the portions - we ordered way too much food by mistake but that's ok, we got to sample a lot of really yummy stuff. And the price was hard to beat, too - most entrees are $20-$30 which is really reasonable for the portions you get; you won't go home hungry.

The pro-forma chips are good enough, but that cold salsa was REALLY flavorful without being "hot/spicy". Absolutely excellent.

The chicken tortilla soup is BIG and DAMN it's good. Just absolutely delicious. Lots of meat, and yummy hunks of some kind of semi-soft cheese. Great flavor/seasoning in the soup.

I got "fajita mix" (chicken & steak) and unlike a lot of places where the meat is the weakest part...tough, fatty or gamy...the meat here was pretty good. Not as good as ordering a standalone chicken or steak dinner, but still pretty good meat. Seasoning is perfect, too. A bit heavy on the peppers and onions, but that's not my favorite part...if it's yours, you'll love it. The presentation of the rice, cheese, guac, salsa, etc are in these little animal-esque shaped stone bowls. A bit cutesy, but I dig it. All the ingredients were TOP notch here, too.

My wife ended up getting Tacos de Birria. The taco shells were slightly greasy, but not obnoxiously so. I think it's unavoidable from the way the meat's seasoned and cooked which MORE than makes up for it; they were REALLY good. Lots of yummy cheese in there, too. The consome sauce was KILLER! She also got (by mistake, we had no idea how big these portions were) Sopas which were HUGE. She got one steak and one al pastor (pork). The "thick" corn tortillas aren't as much my cup of tea, but she assured me they were excellently-done. And again, the meat and other toppings more than make up for any other shortcomings.

It's rare that one stumbles across a "hole in the wall" place that really delivers, but Neza totally does. We'll definitely be...

I ordered two entrees to go from the restaurant a while ago, and was disappointed in two ways.

First, the food was... ok. Not great, ok. Appreciate that they sent chips and salsa but it was perhaps the blandest restaurant salsa I've had -- basically just crushed tomatoes, not even enough salt. Chicken in the enchiladas was very dry, as was the rice. Most concerning, nothing was hot, just barely above room temp at all even though I picked it up promptly. Nearby you'd do better for less money at Cafe Azul, maybe even Poco Loco if you're just wanting food. If you want to sit down with a group and have full bar service, OK, going there might make sense.

Service. They left out one of my entrees entirely, half the order. It wasn't a convenient time for me to go back and have them remake it so I called and asked if they could refund it to my card, they said yes. A week later, no refund. I called again, they say they tried to call me several times -- nothing on my phone -- but that they were incorrect when I called and will not give me a refund, but would remake the entree or something else of same value, either on request or give me a gift card for it. A bit disappointing since it was 100%...
