I worked here for two weeks with over 2 decades of cooking experience. I will start with the positives. The kitchen is well maintained and clean. Now for the downside. Management is non-existing, and only ran by the owner which uses poor judgment. "Can't find help" I'm tired of hearing about, there are plenty of people willing to work and do a good job but they are all ran off. The food is all precooked and not to order. The bacon is left out at room temperature already cooked, overnight, all day: avoid the bacon. The sausage is also precooked as well as the potatoes. I wouldn't eat here. I was doing three jobs for a pay of one which was not agreed upon. She had me cooking, prepping, and dishtank all in one shift. The waitresses might appear nice to you as a customer but you wouldn't believe the trash talk as soon as they come into the kitchen. There is no concern for the customer. The products are the cheapest, expired ingredients from Community Market. I came across many cases of moldy fruit and was told to not wash it and just cut off the mold. I can't express enough in all honesty to not eat this food, with no hard feelings. I voluntarily left this business, no jadedness. But if you want to eat questionably overpriced food then by all means come here. Most of the product I was preparing was for her catering business not...

I'm not sure why anyone would rate this place high. We went to LuLu's for the Sunday breakfast buffet in August 2025. When we pulled into the lot behind the restaurant there was trash and junk all along the back side of the building. That should have been our first clue to find another place. But we decided to give LuLu's a try anyway. The place was pretty full, but we got seats right away and the service was quick. But the food left a lot to be desired. The sausage gravy was tasteless, the biscuits were dry and hard, and the bacon thin and overcooked. There wasn't a piece of fresh fruit to be found. Mediocre omelets were the only decent thing on the buffet. I have had better breakfasts at a Holiday Inn Express, and LuLu's was about $20 a person instead of free. It might be OK if you're a laker seriously hungover from partying the night before, your taste buds are shot, and you just need something to soak up some of the alcohol in your system. Otherwise - definitely not...

Stopped in for breakfast while traveling through town. I was cheerfully greeted and seated immediately. At 8 AM you can pick from the full menu. I selected the veggie omelette and potatoes covered with grilled onions. I also selected the sourdough toast. What I did not expect was the portion size. This veggie omelette was enormous. If you hear about a shortage of cheese it is because it’s all in my omelette! The omelette was the size of a rolled up Sunday paper. It’s tough to get a veggie omelette right and this kitchen delivered perfect perfection. Those potatoes and onions! I didn’t leave any of those on the plate. The sourdough toast and the jelly in those little medicine cups was just perfect.

Clearly, Lulu’s is a local’s favorite and there is a reason why. The food is fresh, the service attentive, the atmosphere inviting, and the food is remarkable.

Highly...

Nice clean restaurant near the lake. We thought we would try a restaurant that we haven't been to before. My wife and I ordered the grilled chicken breast sandwich with french fries and a couple of soft drinks. The sandwiches came swiss cheese and with lettuce, tomato and pickles on the side. The food tasted great and was the right temperature. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. They offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would give them the 👍up.

A group of us came from Columbus with Samaritan Purse to help clean up after the tornados. LuLu was driving through the disaster areas with food for the volunteers. They were there to feed everyone! Incredible. I am blown away by their generosity. I don’t often come this way but now will make a special trip a few times a year just to support LuLus after their incredible heart of giving. Thank you so much for supporting the community
