Wah Shing Chinese Food — Restaurant in Washington Township

Walked in off the street to order takeout. I was immediately greeted and offered a menu. I ordered broccoli beef and beef lo mein. Order took about 10-12 minutes from payment to out the door. Prompt. There was no one eating in at the restaurant, and had three buffet tables. Saw the staff come out to the buffet tables to scoop food into containers, I wonder if they are using buffet table food for their takeout? Not something I personally would like. I would prefer the buffet to be less stocked, especially on a slower night like a monday, and instead have that food be cooked to order.

Broccoli beef was good. Great flavor, just would have like a little more sauce to spread throughout the rice. Broccoli was crunchy, but not raw. I enjoyed it. Rice with fully cooked and honestly added to the dish, wasn’t “just there” Beef was cooked properly and was tender and seasoned well. There was one or two pieces that were chewy, but out of the whole dish, not a problem.

The Lo Mein. Honestly, it tasted better reheated. It was relatively bland, but once it sat overnight and let the flavors of the sauce really soak in, was tasty. Pretty wet/oily, but not in a gross or disgusting manner. Good amount of veggies and meat to balance. Noodles were cooked perfectly. The beef in this dish was also cooked well, tender meat and seasoned well.

I would come here again to try other dishes with different proteins and different...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my husband and our 3 kids out to eat for a celebration. I have an 8,7, and 3 year old keep in mind. I called before I went to see how much it would cost, she said 9.95 for adults and kids 7 and under would be 7.95. We get there, eat, and go to pay the bill and find out she only has 1 kid charged as a child. Now my 8 year old I understand because she's 8. But my 7 and 3 year old should've been charged as children. The woman told me they go by height. But on the phone she told me they go by age. You can't charge a child by height just because they're tall does not mean they're old enough! She measured them by their Pepsi cooler, which is odd. Then when my 7 year old stood by the Pepsi cooler she wasn't even tall enough to be charged as an adult so the woman literally tried to cheat us out of our money! The food was dry and burned. The tea tasted sour and the place was definitely not worth the money we paid. When we were done proving my kids ages, she took $2 off the bill! Smh I'll never eat here again. So far since we have moved to this town, the people have not so nice! I'll be calling the better business bureau about...

I used to go to another place in town until I found out that this place delivers. I had to get used to the food because these two restaurants have very different styles of cooking. I got used to it quick and fell in love with the delivery service. they always come within a half our or so. The food is always hot and good....recently my wife and daughter and I have been doing the buffet on Friday nights.....the food is always good and if I ever saw something that might have looked old, I mention it to them and they get fresh right away!!! One day we walked in and it was dead...the lady who is always there said if we something we need more of to let her know and she would get it......I like it but I will say that sometimes if there is no business some of the items look dry, but they always get fresh if they see me looking and pass it by.....VERY CLEAN PLACE!!! No ambiance but good food...
