UPDATED - Back up to 5 stars now that Covid is managed and I no longer need curbside pickup...
Used to be a great neighborhood restaurant.. Was 5 stars. I loved this place.
Even though they did not deliver to Bethesda, we did curbside pickup regularly throughout Covid. We tipped very well, just to support them.

Today I called to order, just like before, about $100 worth of food, and tried to give them my credit card info for curbside pickup. Normally I pull in, call, and they bring out the bags of food and put it in the empty seat in the car. Nope. He said I had to go inside with my credit card, sign the slip, and pick up the food there. No prepay, no curbside to the car.
Really??? In the Covid era that is ridiculous!
I cancelled the order, called my other (remaining) favorite Guapo's and am now going there for curbside pickup. (There is also the excellent Moby Dick š as an alternative.)
Sad thing is, even if Bambu wises up and begins doing credit card payment over the phone with curbside, I would never know about it to go back to them.
I just hope they survive the pandemic, because their food is excellent, but it's not...

We Reserved tables for a birthday celebration for 12 people & Tim and his team did a great job with preparing the delicious dishes including some of the special pre-requested by us, like lobsters, uni sushi for 12 people, table decorations, and more.
Uni and sushi are fresh. Thai foods flavors are on point. Peking duck is delicious. Beef dishes were tender. Noodles are yummy. So are the drinks.
We came on a Sunday afternoon, they were not very busy in the shop, but to go orders were Never stopped, that take out phone has been ringing none stop which is great for the business.
Parking is very limited but they do have several spots right out front which is priceless since most of the businesses in DC donāt have any private parkings at all.
