Long story short, don’t trust this bakery with your special day. Not only will they not give you what you ordered (TWICE), their cake is not good. I tried to work this out with them and give them an opportunity to make it right since they are a small business but the owner doubled down instead of just admitting she made a mistake. We requested a gothic “death to my 20’s cake” with roses and the photo attached is the cake we got. It looked TERRIBLE!! Overall this experience was truly awful and not what we expected from such a well-respected bakery. We not only emailed chandelier to place our order with the details, we also went in person to confirm the order. We sent photos over email and then in person reiterated what we wanted, to include a 3 tier cake. What we got when we went to pick it up was extremely unprofessional, opposite of what we wanted, and did not look like a well decorated cake. We already had a stressful and busy day planned for a surprise party and then we had to add the additional stress of having a cake that looked unprofessional. We had to bring the cake back and luckily the decorator was able to fix the cake to look more like what we wanted, but we had to wait all day for the cake. We also asked the decorator to verify the cake was 3 layers, they said they would double check. When we cut into the cake it turned out it was not three layers. We trusted the bakery to provide us with what we asked for. We specifically chose this bakery based on the cakes they post on Facebook because we believed that this bakery was the most skilled and would provide us with what we asked for. When we got to the bakery we found out that the decorator was not given the photos we emailed as what we wanted. This was for our friends 30th birthday, which only happens once, and it was extremely important to have a cake that we asked for. This whole experience threw off our carefully planned and scheduled day and added so much additional stress as we suddenly could no longer trust the bakery to provide what we asked for. The cake was also not good. It was overly sweet and dry. Just don’t trust them. Go somewhere else.

If You are Having a Special Occasion or Event, DO NOT GO HERE FOR SPECIALTY CAKES!! I went in person SEVERAL times through out the 3 week period of time there was from when I placed my order till the big day. After me telling them, this was my 4th birthday cake of my life and MY FIRST Birthday Party EVER; I told them I would like to order a very specific cake. I proceeded to tell them exactly how I wanted my cake done, and they said "No Problem" during our first meeting, i paid my $100 deposit and went on my way. Then they COMPLETELY Ignored every bit of my instruction and Did NOT Do ANYTHING I asked and they agreed to. They did fill the top & bottom full of hollow plastic straws. There was more of them in the cake than actual cake or filling and it still caused my cake to LEAN and CRUMBLE before it was even time to cut it; & if you can get past HOW HORRIBLE the FONDANT looked how POORLY the CAKE was CONSTRUCTED to add injury to insult, When my husband arrived to pick it up; My Name was Spelled WRONG! I specifically ASKED for it NOT To BE HAND Written & Thats yet again EXACTLY What they did. Then the topper was that the inside TASTED AS BAD as The OUTSIDE LOOKED!! It TASTED AWFUL; it was DRY as a piece of cardboard and the filling was NOT DONE As I asked YET Again; it did not cover half of the top of the cake let alone go to the outside edge like it should have been and i asked for. There was Barly ANY Bananas, it was Hands Down; THE WORST CAKE I HAVE EVER Seen or Tasted in MY whole life; it COMPLETELY RUINED My 50th Birthday Party!! 💯 I was embarrassed and humiliated to put it out even more so after my guest TASTED IT! 🤢 We then THREW EVERY BIT of what was left over in The TRASH CAN after serving; because it was so HORRID that I didn't even want to BOTHER to Take it HOME. $165 it was NOT WORTH; Safeway would have Done a Better job!! 💯 Lesson Learned!! *BEWARE* just cause they SAY "they can do it" DOESN'T MEAN THEY ACTUALLY CAN!!

Padden Parkway is a pretty miserable road, lots of commercial properties with traffic bent on hell and wasting no time. I’d seen the sign for Chandelier Bakery before, but other than that cute wee bit of a farmhouse, couldn’t tell where the bakery was. Oh wait! That little slice of pastoral quaintness IS the bakery. So I thinks to me self, “Self, let’s give that fairytale lookin place a try!” Well, first thing I see is this welcoming sign in the window saying how they accept all patronage! All creeds, all races, all genders and ages! And I thinks to me self, “Self! Isn’t that great?” And then I get to part where is says, Vaccinated or Unvaccinated and it kind of stops me, like what the sign is really saying is they don’t care about the health of the staff or customers. Double speak for we don’t wear masks unless you do. So I mask up and wander in. Sure enough, no masks, but the lady who serves me puts one on, which I appreciate, but there is a strange vibe. No real greeting, no feeling of welcome. I buy something and then look around a bit, seems like there might be more to the place, but no information is forth coming… I don’t feel welcome. Like I wandered into a stranger’s kitchen… with no pants. I read something about tea on the table and let me tell you, I’m all over a good tea like an Scottish laird after a good hunt. But this doesn’t feel like a place to sit a bit, no blarney with the staff, no feeling of coming home to love and confectionery. The pastry was good. Actually very good. But the welcome was a poor condiment and the vaccinated or unvaccinated felt like a slap in the face. Perhaps a bit like the fairytail gingerbread house… where the witches live.

I emailed this to them instead of posting a review. Giving them the option to make things right. Their response was so disingenuous.

To whom it may concern, I came in on Tuesday, February 4 to order four dozen cupcakes and one extra large cupcake for my daughter's gender reveal party. I'm a pretty cheap guy that is only ever gotten cupcakes from like Safeway or Fred Meyer's. But I wanted my daughter's Day to be extra special. The ordering process was fine. I was a little shocked at $44 a dozen, but I have never bought stuff like that from the bakery before. But I assumed they would definitely be way better than a regular store-bought cupcake. I'm not sure if something went wrong in the mixture or if somebody new was working that day, but something definitely went wrong in the process. I picked them up right before 5 o'clock on Friday, February 7. The reveal party was the next day the eighth. I broke into one of them Friday night and I couldn't even finish one. They were so incredibly dry and they just crumbled and fell apart in pieces. I got four different flavors so I was hoping maybe just those ones were a bad batch. but all of them were dry and just fell apart and they actually had very little flavor to them. That was very disappointing. Most times when I order something and I'm disappointed. I don't do anything about it. But when you're spending $44 a dozen and you dump $191 Plus a $39 tip I feel I need to say something. I don't like just writing a review because I'd like to give the opportunity for somebody to do the right thing first. I am also a business owner that has many reviews, And I know I would much rather have the person let me know if they had a bad experience , so I can make it right, before putting it out there for the world to see. please make this right. Thank you

their response!!!

Thank you for your email. I appreciate the feedback you have given us. I understand that this must be frustrating for you. I am sorry to hear that your cupcakes were not what you expected, delivering high quality baked goods our customers expect is important to us. I apologize that in this case we fell short.

I do hope we will have the chance to serve you again and go beyond your expectations.

My wife and I ordered a wedding cake for our wedding. We wanted to go with a local bakery that I kept hearing about on Way-FM. We wanted a hexagon cake and Tiffany told us that it was possible! It wasn’t. Poorly shaved sides instead of using a hexagon mold, it looks more like a poorly rounded cake. Terribly cut edges.

Coordinating with Tiffany and Monica is a nightmare. You tell them what you want, and you have to repeat yourself 2-4 times. Even when you email. Constantly trying to upsell you on stuff you don’t want or need. Then Monica doesn’t even bother reading the emails anyway if you have to talk with her. I told her I had time during the day because she wanted to call me. Four hours later I get an email saying sorry we were busy can I call now. I get it when you’re busy you can’t call, but I tell her no I am no longer available. She proceeds to ask me if I can call right after telling her I can’t I am unavailable. This was after repeating myself multiple times about the cake I wanted. I decided to just wait until Tiffany got back from her vacation (which she never communicates effectively when she’s going to be gone)

Now the frosting. We ordered a take home tasting. The take home tasting did not come with the pumpkin cake we asked for, but we fell in love with the espresso buttercream. It was a beige or light brown frosting and we liked the flavor. Come ordering time they ask me if I want a chocolate espresso or white chocolate espresso frosting. These weren’t options when I tried it so I don’t know. Tiffany assured me the regular one from our tasting was the chocolate espresso. Well come wedding time the beige is now a dark brown. Ruined our wedding cake. Only wedding cake we’ll get to have.

If you want a company that cares about its customers, special events, and you want to do an order that’s not just a simple cake, go elsewhere. Unfortunately they are either understaffed, or don’t care enough to keep track of their orders. They even got me mixed up with another Kevin (different last...
