We had gone to the Liquor Cabinet on the waterfront and they were promoting QMD - we were able to taste one of their gins and wanted to try more. When we found out the distillery was 15 minutes away, we called and Randy said they do tours and we were more than welcome to stop by. We were welcomed with a sheet of paper listing all their spirits and we were able to try 5 on the house! After our tasting, Randy took us out back to show us around. We've done a few distillery tours, but we've never had a personal tour! Randy loves what he does, and him and his family are good at it. We noticed on the bar top that there was a stout bottle. We plan to enjoy that bottle this weekend but have high hopes! (Also, Randy, we were talking about the maple syrup whisky being unavailable for tasting at the distillery - well, Doomsday had it and I was able to try it after all! It is delicious!) We walked away from QMD with a bottle of gin and will definitely keep these guys in mind for when we are in the Vancouver...

We had some tasters of various whiskeys and vodka, and everything was delicious! Ended up leaving with a pint of Private Reserve and their Sherry Aged which was certainly the the best. Will...

I recommend anyone in the Portland and Vancouver area to drop in, do some tasting and take home a bottle . Great for your own collection or a...
