Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Washington

The food's not bad here and it seems like the people there really care about their job. But my problem is is I just ordered delivery and I don't like doordash. Sometimes they deliver through Papa John's. Today they delivered through doordash. The dude was nasty. I don't want anybody like that handling my food. They did it without my permission and the doordash guy Said he didn't have change. I was trying to give the guy a $5 tip. I had 40 bucks. It cost $30 for one pizza. He told me I was lucky he had change and he was nasty looking. He looked like he didn't shower. I can't eat my food that I spent $40 on. My recommendation to this establishment is to not use doordash anymore. If you can't deliver, make it on your website to where it's pick up only. I know that hurts your business but not as much as having a doordasher that cares little like that. Needless to say, I will not be getting delivery from Papa John's and because of that And this situation. I don't think there's a reason for a tip. Therefore, no tips will be given either when I order from there. And I will be keeping an eye on how good my food is from here on out. That's just the ramifications of allowing somebody like that to bring me my food. And not giving me the option for doordash or pickup and leading me on to believe that a Papa John's delivery person was going to bring me my food. The guy told me he didn't have change before he even pulled out his wallet and when he pulled out his wallet he did have change. It seemed like he was trying to get the full 40 out of me again, Another reason why I don't like doordash the quality of the employees there not very good. It's pretty much somebody working for themselves that rarely gives a hoot about the way they look or their life up until that point. If you ask me the guy just pretty much robbed me because he wouldn't have gotten a tip from me first off for telling me I was lucky that he had change. What are you doing working in a job that takes cash then? And secondly he was dirty. I don't even know what environment my food got to my house in his car could have been nasty for all.i know, he was nasty. It's not that far of a fetch that his vehicle is. Bad service in a $5 tip that he did not deserve. And because of this thing and I because I feel robbed of $5 I rate this place two stars. If they can fix their delivery situation and have some quality control it goes to four. And I will start tipping again. And I used to tip for pickup so that should make the employees there. Very mad that they allowed somebody that was so nasty. Take food to one of pickup tippers. That hurt their bottom line because I usually eat there at least once a week and while it might just be three bucks split between so many people I would not think that many people would give a tip for pickup like I do. It says on the doordash website that I'm expected to have exact change. I get that but I did not know I was going through doordash. That's where the problem arises. And the way that that delivery driver handled it was a big problem. The website also recommends that they carry $10 to $15 in small bills for change.. I'm wanting to know if there is a hustle out there where people have figured out that doordash wants the customer to have exact change but that's rarely the case and so they just say they don't have change. Therefore they can get a way bigger tip and that's what I think. I just fell victim to right now. At the very least, an attempt. Because he initially said he didn't have money and then he ended up having it. When pressed? Again, I got no notification from Papa John's that this was going to be doordash and I don't deal with doordash so I don't know that I have to have exact change. I haven't dealt with doordash in almost 2 years because the last one. It was some Chick and her boyfriend, her boyfriend end up bringing the food to me and his pants were hanging down his butt while he delivered my food and she was the one that was supposed to deliver it. I don't know where those hands have been....

The first time I ordered from this location it took an hour and 20 minutes for the pizza to arrive. Everything was ice cold. The pizza bag door dash uses is paper thin and not as insulated as a real pizza bag. The manager Dan promised me it was the door dash delivery driver's fault and they would make it up to me with a free meal including the pizza and garlic knots. I decided to get that free meal tonight and the person on the phone told me the garlic knots were not included. Ok fine. I ordered them anyways and paid for it. The pizza again never arrived after waiting an hour. I finally checked my security cameras and I see the pizza guy at the door and he just leaves. He doesn't leave the pizza but leaves with everything. I call the store and they said he pounded on the door and called me. Neither is true. I'm sitting in the livingroom the whole time by the front door and my dog never even barked (he always barks when someone knocks). He also never called my phone. They said they could bring me another pizza but it might be a long time because they have other orders ahead of me and may have to door dash it. Evidently this location does not have enough of their own drivers. I didn't want the whole door dash cold pizza experience again so I just...

Ordered online at 11am today, got there to pick up at 11:25, should have been ready by then. However, I waited 15 minutes without the one employee working not saying a word to me. When the employee finally said something, she gave the lady in front of me her 15 pizzas, then finally spoke to me for the first time 15 minutes after I walked in the door, she asked my name, then informed me even though I had ordered nearly 45 prior to that time, she had not even started on my order. I asked her why she couldn't have been polite enough to tell me that as soon as I walked in, rather than making me wait 15 minutes when I could have gone elsewhere as soon as I got there, instead of waiting 15 minutes to be informed then going elsewhere.
