Cant believe this place is still in exhistence!? Ive went here when they first opened a long time ago n it was not good. Then agn few years later still not good; n tonite around 7pm it was horrible. The lighting was so dark i had to use my cell phone flash light just to read menu. We ordered pho, wonton noodle soup, n bun bo hue. All 3 broths tasted like pho w mybe a SLIGHT difference on bun bo hue. Soups were not hot just warm n the pho came w cooked beef which is a first for us considering my mom is vietnamese n its usually served rare n on the side. N the waiter knew my mom was vietnamese becuz i asked him to speak to my mom in vietnamese to clarify her order as i dont speak vietnamese very well. My brothers bun bo hue was definitely not authentic nor good. My won ton tasted n looked like my moms pho broth n it had pho beef in it which was strange. I requested red vinegar and hot oil chili pepper to add to it and that improved the taste. Waiter seemed annoyed at our requests.
We were starving but the place we usually to go to was closed so thats how we ended up here. We will NEVER GO BACK EVER. Bill was $46 food was bad n the mid 40s or older waiter was not polite nor friendly n he didn check back once w us. He seemed stuck on himself n had no respect for my mom as his elder which im definitely shocked n insulted being hes also vietnamese. I didnt want to tip him but my mom forced me to... so gave him $3 i dont think he even deserved that. I gave him $100 bill to pay n he said he had to go get change so i went bak to my table to gather my purse coat etc n he didn even come to my table to give me the change i had to go bak to the counter...so rude. I would have given 2 star if waiter was more friendly and it was not busy at all maybe 3 others there so he cant use that as...
Read morePretty annoyed with my visit today. Let me start off by saying I having been coming here for over 10years and have always loved this place. Usually, I am always happy with my food, but today I was pretty upset with my experience. I spent $50 on my order and requested no bean sprouts in 2 orders of spring rolls (because I am pregnant and raw bean sprouts can harbor ecoli, salmonella, and listeria). The new kid working there said “No, there’s no bean sprouts in the spring rolls” when I placed my order. Being a regular I knew otherwise, so when I picked up my order I asked again. Again, he reassured me the spring rolls don’t have bean sprouts to begin with. I thought strange, I wonder when they stopped including them? Sure enough, when I got home and started to eat I got bean sprouts. It’s not just something I can pick out, because of cross contamination. (It would be one thing if it was just because I don’t like bean sprouts, but because immunity is affected during pregnancy, pregnant women are more susceptible to contract ecoli, salmonella, and listeria). I called to complain and the same kid answers and say’s, “let me ask the kitchen”. DUDE, if you don’t know in the first place why did you tell me they don’t have bean sprouts! Why wouldn’t you ask the kitchen in the first place?? He pretty much just said he didn’t know what to do and the owner wasn’t there. He offered to make new ones without bean sprouts, but I wasn’t able to pick them up. I wouldn’t be this annoyed if I hadn’t specifically asked multiple times and if it wasn’t threatening to me or my child’s health. It’s just ridiculous that this could have been so...
Read moreUse to come here pretty often years ago, but it’s definitely worse than I remember. Service wasn’t bad, atmosphere wasn’t great, the man who was busing tables came around with a cart full of dirty dishes that rattled and made lots of noise every time he’d come by. We had to stop our conversation a few times as he came by because we couldn’t hear over the noise. The food and prices aren’t worth it. The food was very bland. We got pot stickers which tasted frozen or store bought, had a piece that was half black and over fried.. The menu prices say one thing but they charge another. Got Thai tea, which said 3.95 on the menu, but was charged 6. Same story with an 8oz glass of orange juice, damn, my soul hurts writing that. Another noodle dish said 14.95 but we were charged 18.95. Seemed like they just up charged everything by a couple dollars when the bill came which added up to be more than what was expected going off of the menu, a $50 meal for two ended up being $70, which is pretty ridiculous.. we overheard another table of two ahead of us say “whoa! its so expensive” when they got their bill. Nice to know it wasn’t just us who felt it was pricey, sad we spend so much unexpectedly on burnt and...
