Rush Bowls — Restaurant in Washington

I recently had a frustrating experience with a Hispanic female employee who spoke absolutely no English at Rush bowl that left me thoroughly disappointed. I arrived at the shop 20 minutes before closing time to purchase two items, which totaled $28. After completing my purchase, I realized I wanted to add extra strawberries to my order. When I returned to the counter to request the topping, I was shocked by the employee’s response.

Instead of helping me, the staff member laughed and said, "Haha, it's not my business," and proceeded to close the store earlier than their stated closing time of 10 PM it was 9:50. I found myself having to argue just to get a simple topping added to my order. It’s frustrating that a business wouldn’t be willing to accommodate a paying customer, especially when I was there well within their operating hours.

This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I’ll definitely think twice before returning. Customer service should be a priority, and unfortunately, that wasn't...

November 2020: I'm so excited to have a new neighborhood smoothie and smoothie bowl place! We've ordered from Rush bowls a few times now and it has been consistently delicious! They have such a large menu and they even have puppy bowls (my dog LOVES them). The servings are very generous and prices are reasonable (especially considering the size). They are super accommodating in terms of dietary preferences and restrictions. We cannot wait to continue coming back!

January 2021: UPDATE: two months later and Rush Bowls is still going above and beyond! The food is consistently delicious and they are always accommodating to our dietary needs. They always make sure to take care of my pup too, which is much appreciated :). We have switched to getting our food delivered (we are quarantining due to having a new baby) and I have been pleasantly surprised by how well the smoothies and smoothie bowls have been traveling with delivery. These are the best açaí / frozen fruit/veg bowls in the area by far. Heather the manager is fantastic, thoughtful, and somehow always remembers our order. Unfortunately removing 1 star as some employees don’t fill the bowl up nearly all the way - and at $11/ bowl - which is already darn steep - that’s often the difference between whether we decide to get them or not (sadly for my taste buds, recently it’s more often not :/ due to price).
