If you’re in DC, check out Shellfish Market at 443 Kennedy St NW for some of the BEST casual seafood around.😍Their boom boom shrimp served over Garlic Noodles is pure comfort food—rich, buttery, and PACKED with flavor! But that’s just the start! We also recommend their customizable Seafood Boil, loaded with your favorite picks and a BOMB sauce. Customers also love their Lobster Roll! 🦞 📍 Shellfish Market

The Shellfish Market in Washington, DC was everything! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was right and the service was on point. The food was mouthwatering every bite packed with flavor, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Let's talk about those drinks, they weren’t just good they were dangerously good. Smooth, strong, and just right. This spot has officially earned its place as our first stop before heading deeper into the city. It’s giving must-visit every single time. Whether you’re grabbing a casual bite or setting the tone for a night out, this place delivers. 10 out of 10 NO QUESTIONS!! #seafood #shellfishmarket #vlog #talkshow #explorepage✨ #fyp #washingtondc #entrepreneur #podcast #foodie

I recently visited D.C. for my best friend's birthday. As a Texas native, I look forward to trying seafood boils from the places I visit. After doing hefty searching through TikTok, my best friend and I decided to DoorDash from this establishment. I mean, they have almost 4.5 stars, so I just KNEW I wasn't making a mistake. My best friend got a salmon philly and a half a pound of shrimp. I got the Shellfish Combo #4 in garlic cajun butter, spice level spicy. The philly was nice, but the boiled seafood? Quite the opposite. The seafood tasted pre-frozen and oceany and the sauce was sweet; it kind of reminded me of the tomato sauce in Chef Boyardee products. I am home, now, but recently commented how this establishment disappointed me when one of their ads popped up on my Instagram :(. I was then met with a long response from the establishment's Instagram account accusing me of visiting their restaurant with family, eating their food, and proceeding to try and scam them because I did not like the food. While it was believable that someone else was not impressed with what they call a seafood boil, I never even set foot in their establishment!

Dear Shellfish Market, regardless if you like a customer's review or not, as a business you should know how to professionally handle manners such as this. Have a blessed one.

Edit: After looking at other reviews for this restaurant, it is apparent that they use the same story, different font as rebuttals to customers' negative experiences and reviews instead of taking accountability. So, I will be attaching the encounter I had as well! Two different apps, but the responses are quite similar!

Second edit: "You and your friends are are given false reviews because we would not allow for you to eat at our establishment complete your food then say you don't like it to discount the bill and attempt to scam our establishments you all may do that in Texas but we don't do that in DC."

Clearly, you did NOT read, so I will put it in all caps for you. I. NEVER. STEPPED. A. FOOT. INTO. THE RESTAURANT. I. DOORDASHED. AKA. DELIVERY.

So, the response from your establishment is NULL AND VOID. I am the only person from my trip that even reviewed this place. So, any other negative review you received is just that. A negative, UNRELATED review. I do not know anybody else in these reviews. And in Texas, sweets, we know how to make a seafood boil. Come visit and take some notes ;). I will now attach my DOORDASH order so you can stop your discrediting LIES.

Ah, I see we’re leaning into the theatrics now. But let’s take a moment to clear things up with a little COMMON sense, shall we? The reason my best friend's salmon Philly cheesesteak wasn't on my ticket is simple: we ordered separately from two different phones. Not rocket science, right? One order here, one order there. If that’s a detail that slipped through the cracks in all this back-and-forth, I hope that makes it crystal clear for you.

Now, about all the assumptions you’re making about me being some mysterious phantom customer. News flash: I’m not the person you're trying to pin this on, and frankly, I don’t even have family in D.C. I’m not out here trying to spin a wild tale, but I sure do find it amusing that you're so desperate to make me someone I’m not. For the record, I’m not a liar, and I’m not afraid of any of your “whooping” threats. If I I physically visited your establishment, believe me, my food would've been sent back after the first bite. Truth be told, I couldn’t even finish it! But hey, it sounds like you’re accustom to that kind of feedback.

So here’s the bottom line: I've never physically been to your restaurant. I’m not some mystery person. I’m simply giving you some honest, unfiltered feedback. Maybe instead of focusing on who I am or trying to twist my words, you could spend that energy on improving your menu, flavor profiles, and service. If that’s too much, at least maybe focus on being professional. Do you cook or do you tweet? Cause I can't tell get in the kitchen, or...

Response to the assumption: unfortunately you do have the wrong couple. My cousin and I went one Saturday and that was the service we received we were not seated at the bar we were actually in a booth. There was one couple leaving as we were coming in and it was around 2 we waited 45-1 hour to get our drink even though I noticed the young lady that was sitting at the bar had hers fairly quickly. After my cousin and I were done with our conversation that took about 45-1 we noticed we never received our beverages. So we flagged down the waitress-who only had the one lady at the bar to tend to besides us - to order our drinks and by that time we were ready for appetizers as well. That took some time to come out I think my cousin actually went to the restroom twice within the time. And we were hungry so we flagged her down again and ordered the main course as well. The food all together took up to 45-1 hour each to come out and we ended up spending almost 3 hours there. I was not happy with my service but I was polite. When I ordered my main dish i don’t remember what it was called but it was one of the boils I asked for egg to be added and she let me know yall were out. I ended up asking for something else and she let me know that was out as well. So I chose the crab cake( which I thought was more than one cake) and just stayed with that based on the restaurants I’ve been to before this this by far has been the worst although I did like the music playlist.

It’s a nice restaurant but the server took forever to bring our drinks (we were the only ones in the building) the quality of the food was not that great and low stock on the menu choices one with majority of fries the only thing that saved them was the music! They...
