Visited near closing time on 12/13 and they ran out of the spicy chicken soup. Completely understood and went back the next day at 12:30PM. It was empty and I greeted who I’m guessing is the owner? Already her vibe was off putting. First thing she said to me was that they were out of the spicy chicken and they were making a different kinda of soup and I thought by lunch time they would’ve already had some soup ready with the word being in their name. She had an attitude stating they make it fresh every day (obviously) anyways it’s just not meant to be for me. Attitude for legit no reason.
Edit: owner may have me confused because I never called I just walked in. Waiting is never a problem the issue was the uncalled for attitude. It’s possible it was meant for whoever the phone call was with because it...
Read moreThis is a place to be experienced, not just read about on Google or Yelp, hoping that you go there one day. Pictures don’t do it justice. Donna knocks it out of the park with her homemade soups, spring rolls (I couldn’t pick a favorite, they were all THAT good), and desserts. To top it off, she is kind and you can tell she puts a lot of love into her craft and enjoys sharing her gift with others, which makes it even better. I was there for my birthday and she treated me like a queen. I felt like by the time I left I had made a new friend and can’t wait to go back the next time I visit D.C. I would be here every week if I lived in the area. Prepare to go with a big appetite, because you will want to...
Read moreI walked in and was greeted with a warm smile. I asked for soup and was led over to see the soups of the day. She suggested the split pea soup and I frowned and said that I don't like peas. She gave me a sample and it was delicious. I sample all of the soups that day. All were delicious, by far the Split Pea was my favorite. I ordered the apple and sweet potato, the curry chicken and the vegatable spring rolls and the cornbread. I was not disappointed with anything that I ordered. I live in the neighborhood and this was my first time going. I...
