Starbucks — Restaurant in Washington

I used to love this Starbucks at 3000 Connecticut Avenue NW and was a daily customer, but for the last few months it’s been very frustrating and disappointing going to this store. The drinks are so-so made without style or finesse. It seems to be constantly understaffed (2 employees) when I’m there, and those working are unfriendly, sometimes mildly rude, and have unsanitary habits. E.g., washing hands almost non-existent. One barista went to the back and was eating in sight of the customers and returned to the front without washing his hands. At other times, the man on the cash register moves from handling money to making drinks without hand washing and uses improper procedures like putting his fingers inside the cups of the drinks he makes. He takes breaks outside and returns behind the counter without hand washing. Everything in the store looks dirty and unkept and the trash is often running over. No one wipes off the tables or sanitizes between customers. If the local manager can’t get it into shape, maybe the regional manager should step in. This store is frequented by the community, as well as visitors to The National Zoo and should be better represented. I love having a neighborhood Starbucks, but this one is bordering on...

I had an incident incident this starbucks. I went back to the workers at the bar and i told them to call the police because one of gang members was sitting in the starbucks and he was trying to attack me making me apologize for something i didnt do. I had a confrontation with this guy in front of the starbucks crew. Unfortunately, the workers did nothing to help me even when did not call the police. I called 911 myself and the police came while all whole starbucks crew did nothing during that confrontation. I asked a crew member to call the police but he said nothing only watched this guy screaming. He continues to call peoples names and watch what is happening. Nobody from starbucks tried to help me or solve the situation while i was waiting for the police. The management at this starbucks only care about money and not about people’s lives. Im not mad about this crazy person but I am so upset about the starbucks reaction to this situation. Im scared if something happens to me inside this starbucks nobody would help me. I can’t trust my life...

Worst customer service ever! The Barista named Daryl should be fired immediately. His customer service skills are non existant! He stands at the register with a scowl on his face. I ordered a sandwich, which when done was set on the counter top and I was never informed that it was ready. When I asked Daryl about it, I was told that it was coming, even though it was already done and sitting on the counter getting cold. Another sandwich order was done after mine and when it was removed from the oven, it was given directly to the waiting customer sitting at a table around the corner from the oven so I don't understand why I was not informed mine was ready. I will never spend another cent in that Starbucks and will not recommend anyone to go there. Too bad there is not a Dunkin Donuts closer because they would get my business in a heartbeat!!!!!! I would not even give this store the one star that I had to pick in order to post...
