I want to share an experience I had at The Po Cafe that was simply amazing and quite uplifting! We were hosting a last minute (small) Easter Sunday dinner for family and friends. I desperately needed a cake and decided to see if the Po Cafe had any available. The owner, Maggie, had informed me that all the cakes presented were already sold, however she had offered to make me a cake of my choice. Given that the Cafe was bustling with customers and it was Easter Saturday, I just wasn’t comfortable asking. Maggie ensured me that it was no problem and I can return within a couple of hours to pick up.
Well it just gets better…I told Maggie I had a prior arrangement and I could not make it back to pick up the cake and not to worry about it. Maggie immediately said that she would deliver the cake to my home that afternoon! Later that day, Maggie delivered this beautiful, fresh, homemade layered cake in a cooler with ice packs to keep the cream safe from the heat (left outside because we were not home).
I still remain so incredibly touched by her kindness and generosity. I had such pleasure in sharing this uplifting and wonderful story with our guests on Easter Sunday. Overwhelming feelings of GRATITUDE! And lastly, the cake was beyond delicious! Thank you so-so much, Maggie!

Read moreI can’t say anything but positives about The Po! The most welcoming, warm, and cozy place to visit for food and coffee. Maggie, the owner and her team are all SO friendly and remember customers by name. They have created a comfortable and relaxing space for everyone to enjoy. From popular healthy options (Poke Bowls, Green Toast, Acais) to the indulgent (Flat Rate Burger, The Ricky Bobby and Chicken WInner), they offer it all. GF/Vegan options available and coffee options that rotate seasonally. They incorporate local and seasonal products. Some of the coffee menu options include: the Lavender latte, Maple latte, French toast latte (LOVE) and their classic drip coffee. Plus they have matchas and chai available too. Being in the heart of Washington, I love how The Po has local products / goods to purchase. For anyone who is a serious Gilmore Girly, this spot is a top adventure for bachelorettes or a fun fall trip. This is the ultimate Lukes Diner! Plus if you’re near, you can walk around the green or take your coffees and walk to the farmers market minutes down the street on a Saturday. *PS. Their Pop-tarts are also incredible! Look forward to stopping...
Read moreWe had a very unfortunate experience when visiting. The staff was very rude, did not want to speak at all, and just seemed very uninterested in their jobs. We went at an off time so it wasn't busy. One of the employees brought out my fries separately and didn't say anything but kept motioning his hand at us in a weird way. I was so confused until I realized he was trying to hand me packets of ketchup. Any normal server would've said "here's some ketchup" or at least set it down. It was so rude and I just can't understand why he couldn't speak to us. We are polite customers, we tip, and we paid $12 for a BLT that was just a normal sized sandwich you'd make at home and this is how we are treated when supporting a local business.
What disappoints me more is I come here to read the reviews and on all of the negative reviews, the owner leaves a nasty response. What a poorly managed business. We will...
