The Stowaway Wine Bar — Restaurant in Washington

Loved this place the moment I walked in, YET… the ...running the establishment made it clear that no one was welcome (or welcomed back unless you were approved by them).

The “management” spent their time gossiping about customers and judging them as well as it might take 15 minutes to get their attention because they were to busy talking about their lives (who they were sleeping with and did not call them back) or judging their customers.

I would pass on this establishment as it is more pretentious then Woodinville wineries who actually have made it (yes sales distributors I saw how their "management" blew you off when you presented wine options).

Very disappointed as I have been coming to this community for many years but this wine bar needs new management.

This review is only for the Stowaway “wine shop.” first of all, I went it to a wall of wines (not shop) and NONE of them had prices! There was no one available to help answer questions and give me pricing information. I had to utilize my phone to Google the wines for information and pricing. So you can imagine my surprise when I got to check out - I paid $88 dollars each bottle ( these bottles retail cost for around $48 each) total came to $189 for TWO bottles! Ludicrous! I would not call it a wine shop- as it charges restaurant prices for the wines. I hired Tammy (owner of The Stowaway, I believe) to run a wine tasting for our rehearsal dinner, and it was a great decision! The whole experience leading up to the event was so easy and helpful, Tammy is definitely a pro and she helped me select the perfect wines for tasting. She came to our home and set everything up day of, and the event went off without a hitch! Everyone had a great time, and it was honestly one of the most fun things we did on our wedding weekend!
