I would have given it a higher rating, but the last 2 times I was there, it was muggy and full of people dancing, etc. The ceiling fans & a/c were not running, which is silly because there needs to be something to draw the humidity out and circulate the air.
The time before last, I asked 3 different people if they could turn it on, and each said yes, but it wasn't until I told them I was leaving if they didn't turn it on before someone finally did. It was much more pleasant for dancing afterward.
The last time, which was a few weeks later, I again had to ask 3 different people, and they each said yes, but they weren't so warm and friendly about it. After the 3rd time, it still wasn't on, and the place was just too stuffy for me, so I had to just get out of there. The people who stayed said they never did anything about it, and it was miserably humid & stuffy in there.
The time of year when it's not cool enough to run the heat, but not so warm, you still have to run the a/c when there's going to be a large group of people who are going to be dancing and moving all about.
This place has been established a long time. It seems they would take this into account and turn the a/c on earlier, run the fans to circulate the air, and not treat patrons like they're a bother when they request that someone do something so simple as to turn on the ceiling fans and adjust or...
Read moreWe went in there to check out the band my neighbors were hiring. The place was fun, lots of ladies dancing together. A definite 4 to 1 ratio of women to men. If your a single guy that likes to dance, this would be a place you could show your best dance skills. Even if you didn't have any real skills, woman ALWAYS love a guy that will get on the dance floor. The drinks were poured the old fashioned way, elbows up & counter to five. They had a large amount of beer in bottles. Michelob Ultra or Lite, Budweiser, White Claw in cans, berry & melon and my favorite Tito's w/ soda with bit of cranberry. All in all its a fun place. The age range is from middle late 20's to 60+....
Read more1st experience: dine-in late hours, was awesome! Atmosphere: regulars, cool and relax; the neighborhood place to be! Food was extremely delicious!!! Fries superb!!! 2nd experience: carryout early dinner time. There was a group party with a buffet. I ordered the same thing: Patty Melt, rare. Service always Great! Unfortunately when I got home; not only was my patty melt WAY overcooked, the bread had probably been frozen then microwaved then toasted: it was a slab of cement! Was the cook overwhelmed or just didn't care....??? I was so disappointed.... I never write bad reviews. But in hopes that they reclaim my positive experience, and reach out to me, I...
