Irish Tavern Waterford — Restaurant in Waterford Township

Here is my email to the manger who never responded. I gave the manger a chance to respond to my email before writing a review but never received the courtesy of a response.

In addition to the below email, I also got extremely sick after being at this establishment that has taken about a month to clear up. This is not the first time we have gotten sick after being at IT. Gross establishment and terrible customer service. I will be contacting the health department.

I just wanted to share my experience I had at IT on Saturday night. I will start by saying I am a regular customer since 2017 when I bought my house. I live in the neighborhood across the street and we frequently dine in and get takeout. I will not be returning after my experience on Saturday night.

The larger, short, short light brown/blonde and grey haired woman who was supposed to be working, spent most of the night at a table with a man she clearly knew while he was frequently grabbing her behind.

I asked if they could do a boxty with no fries. Yep no problem, I was never advised yes you can do a boxty with no fries but you will still pay for them. When I received my bill, I noticed fries were listed on the bill, I asked the aboved named woman about the charge for fries on my bill although I did not get fries. She rudely rolled her eyes at me and said I pay for them even if I don’t get them. I told her that would have been nice to know when I ordered. I said ok that’s fine, then I would like my side of fries that I paid for. She rolled her eyes again and started arguing with me that the kitchen was closed and I can’t have my fries and she would not comp my bill. I’m not paying for something I did not receive. And beyond that, she was so rude and just treated me like I was being a complete bother to her. I payed my tab and left a $0.00 tip because her attitude was beyond distasteful. This is the first time I’ve ever seen this specific woman working in all the years I have been coming to IT and she ruined it for me. Even if she would have spoken to me with the slightest bit of respect, it would have been no big deal. But she treated me...

My wife and I have gone here since we moved near by in 2018. We have gone there for food, drinks, and entertainment on multiple occasions, sometimes multiple times a month. We have never had bad food, bad service or a bad experience. The burgers are the best. They are well made and cooked to perfection so that the juices are coming out on your plate. The drinks are very well made. I am particular about my Old Fashions, and they are always made perfectly. Staff is always very friendly and helpful, even when they are understaffed and busy, they still find the time to check on the table and make sure everything is good. They often have entertainment on the weekends, which is always fun. My favorites off the menu are the BBQ Burger and Diablo Muscles.

Only down side is that parking cold be better, but that is nothing than can be help for this location.

Staff at this place is horrible .My wife and I frequent this place and got accused today of walking out on a tab last Sunday when we were out of town. We went in today to eat before 9 holes of golf and ordered then the waitress comes over with a tab and says we cannot serve you until this is resvolved ????? sorry hun we were out of town on October 6th and can prove it. They filed a police report about the tab and we had to go to the police and show them documentation from our bank account that we made purchases 4 hrs away in Traverse City at the time of this supposed incident. We were humiliated in front of a lot of people. They refused to show us the surveillance tapes or let us talk to the owner.
