Filomena's — Restaurant in Waterford

I am rating this 3 stars by the meal and what happened after the meal. Called ahead, had a table ready. Sat had a good waitress and the atmosphere was good. Was really enjoying our night until I received my meal. I got a meal that had potato gnocchi and it was supposed to have Italian sausage but I substitute for chicken because of my allergies. The meal came and I took one bite. The chicken was so over done I had trouble chewing it. So I took a second bite and the same. So I told the waitress and she brought me another plate of chicken plain. I asked if she could put the olive oil sauce on my chicken. She comes back and it's chicken with red sauce. She didn't ask me before she did this because if she did I would have told her about my allergies. She took the chicken back again but I could tell by her facial expression she wasn't happy. As she was leaving and I saw her facial expression I said please don't worry about it I am done. Didn't really like the meal anyways. The owner or manager came over and asked me what I wanted but I said please don't worry about it,he said we are trying to accommodate you in a tone. I said I have a bunch of allergies and I just didn't want anymore. I get the bill and the waitress says I took off the chicken off your bill? Wait what the chicken not the meal? You took off the chicken that you brought me the second time because the original chicken was too tough to even chew. I was going to get charged for that? I was totally dumbfounded. I look at the bill and it was full price and I didn't even eat the meal but 2 bites. Left really feeling upset that once again my allergies played a factor. Would have come back even to try another dish but to be charged for their mistakes is not great customer service to me. Only eat here if you are going to eat your meal and have no issues because if you don't like it or something isn't right like over cooked chicken they will charge you to fix it. Like they are not taking ownership. My boyfriends Burger was dry and over cooked and literally no juice for a medium rare burger. Bacon burnt. But we payed and left like good...

I have never written a review for any restaurant, being a bartender myself. We ordered take out for the sole purpose of not wanting to cook dinner for a change. We open the small togo boxes of what I only assumed was a mistake and got the wrong order. We ordered the chicken and choke pasta, which is exactly what it made me do my first bite. It was the absolute worst thing I've eaten since spaghetti O's. The sausage sandwich was a reheated frozen patty with WAY to many onions on a plain stop and shop hamburger bun. Much like the ones I buy for camping. My daughter liked the burger, but she's 9 and still thinks Raman noodles are the best thing invented. So my plan for not cooking went to hell. I had to reheat the pasta dish and add ANYTHING I could to make the tasteless, overcooked pasta with canned artichokes dish edible. Couldn't do anything with the sausage sandwich but take the patty out and eat that alone. I wouldn't be so annoyed and disappointed had it not cost $50 for the non-edible garbage which was served to me as food. Im not a picky person AT ALL. This was just embarrassing, and i hope you were just having a bad night. I would have been happier stopping at McDonald's for 10 piece nuggets. Embarassment. I can only assume all the money made off this slop was put towards restaurant decor and Marshall's pictures, because it was CERTAINLY not put towards your food. Our experience hosting a baby shower at Filomena's was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we started planning, everything fell into place seamlessly thanks to the incredible team at Filomena's.

Firstly, coordinating the event with Mike, who oversees events at Filomena's, was an absolute pleasure. He was not only responsive but also incredibly accommodating to all our requests and needs. He made sure every detail was taken care of, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free.

The day of the event was truly memorable. The staff at Filomena's were attentive and friendly, ensuring that all our guests felt welcomed and cared for throughout the entire celebration. They were proactive in anticipating our needs, which allowed us to focus on enjoying the day. And as far as the food, the quality and taste exceeded our expectations, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how much they enjoyed the meal.

By the end of the baby shower, everyone was not just satisfied but genuinely delighted. The combination of excellent service, outstanding food, and good company made our event at Filomena's truly unforgettable.
