Food was........ Ok. We got seated right away, which was a plus. My husband's Texas Long Island was good and strong. My spicy margarita was good, but wasn't spicy despite the floating bits of jalapenos. My daughter and I got the shrimp tacos and my husband got the mahi mahi tacos. Extremely basic tacos served with shrimp/mahi mahi on tortilla and side of mango pico de gallo and some sauce that tasted straight up like catsup. I would be happier if it was served with lettuce and sour cream or some avacado slices. Yeah, I know I could've asked for that but it would probably cost extra and (imo) should come with it. The mahi mahi was overcooked. Each dish came with a side of mexican rice. The placed was packed and was super loud, but can't do much about that and some people like that kind of atmosphere. I was so excited when I heard about La Bamba opening in this Waterville location, especially since the Mexican restaurant that was supposed to open at Fallen Timbers never did. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We moved to the area from Colorado over a year ago and still have yet to find Mexican food here that we like, but this has by far been the worst as far as food goes. The overall atmosphere is great, and staff is very friendly (even tho we waited a while to get our order taken and to get our check, it was not busy at all). Our cheese enchiladas were cold on the outside, and our chili rellenos tasted like the batter wasn't cooked all the way.
