Sadly this place has gone downhill and is no longer the awesome place it used to be when it was a little hole-in-the-wall run by Jay and Danny. There was always a line out the door, but they would remember your order and you knew you'd be in and out in just minutes. Now, you're lucky if you get someone to come to the counter and acknowledge that you are there.
A few weeks back I was waiting for an order and I observed a pickup truck pull up to the drive-through window. Inside the truck (along with the driver) was a beautiful husky or malmute. Gorgeous dog, but the girl working the window reached through, petted the dog, didn't wash her hands, went and got the order, came back, petted the dog again, and then went on to the next order. I was appalled and watched her closely to make sure she didn't touch our order. Filled out the survey on the receipt and let them know what happened.
Fast forward to this past saturday. My wife and I wanted a simple cup of coffee. Nothing fancy. Saturday morning, around 11:30 or so...plenty of workers in the store. We waited at the counter for about 5 minutes, and then left when no one came to take our order. One girl walked by with a mop bucket and didn't even acknowledge us. Don't even think about going in during the afternoon hours, there's usually only one person working the store.
It seems as of late they've spent way more money on the interior remodeling than on hiring, training, and retaining good people. Management really doesn't seem to care, as long as people keep coming in the door.
Dunkin' Corporate needs to do something with this store, and fast. If Wauconda were to get a Starbucks, it'd be...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I ordered a turkey sausage/egg sandwich, but what I received can only be described as a culinary disaster.
First and foremost, the bread was atrocious. It was not only well-burnt; it was practically incinerated! I don't know how someone in the kitchen managed to turn a simple piece of bread into charcoal, but Dunkin' somehow accomplished this feat.
But the horrors didn't end there. When I finally mustered up the courage to take a bite (despite the blackened bread), I was shocked to find that the turkey sausage patty was missing entirely! It's as if they decided to play a cruel game of hide-and-seek with my breakfast.
Feeling frustrated and betrayed by Dunkin', I went to request a refund. To my utter disbelief, the staff seemed indifferent to my complain and refused to provide me with a refund. They offered no explanation, and no solution. It's as if they thought that serving burnt bread and forgetting the main ingredient was somehow acceptable.
This experience was beyond disappointing; it was downright infuriating. Dunkin', you have failed me in every possible way. Not only did you serve me a sandwich that was inedible due to burnt bread and missing ingredient , but you also showed a complete lack of customer service by denying a...
Read moreOk, so I arrive on Saturday around 12 and proceed through the drive thru- Young girl asks me what I want and after I place my order she says oh sorry we don't have that one. Ok fine no biggie I head to the window. She doesn't say hi or apologize ( young girl probably 18-20 dark skin and hair) for not having what I want. Here's the problem.... I handed her a fifty dollar bill and (my total was like $7 and change) she hands me back a 20 and a couple singles and walks away without a word. I yell back to her "excuse me!!" She comes back with a dirty look on her face and I tell her she gave me the wrong change. I show her what I have and I was in the middle of a word and she cuts me off stating in a very rude tone " I know how to count change" Well sweetie obviously not because you can't realize your missing $20 out of someone's change! I looked right at her and said that was rude and she gave me a dirty look and said "so?" Really? So? Wow stay away people this place is filled with young girls who are not only clueless but rude on top of it. What happened to respect? I'm calling corporate to hopefully teach this young and dumb...
