Bartenders and specialty drinks were awesome. Food was ok. Ahi tuna was supposed to be blackened, but was very bland. 2 people at our table of 6 were missing the shrimp on their pasta. The server had to bring the plates into the kitchen to prove to the cook she wasn't lying? I've been in the service industry for many years & have never had to prove to kitchen that the food was incorrect. Other issues during our meal, including a forgotten appetizer (cheese curds that were apparently burned the first time?), forgotten drinks, no bread on any of the pasta dishes. Then even though we told the server at the beginning that it was separate checks & who was on each one- they were still completely wrong & it took multiple times to get them right. First time here. Been waiting for this spot to reopen. Dont take reservations but they noted our large group as a call in and had a large table ready to go! Nice. I had the beer battered haddock and it was pretty good. Friend had the baked haddock and had to turn back in said it tasted off. They responded immediately and gave him some fried perch no questions asked. He was happy with it. The chips with fish n chips were good. Loved their version of tarter sauce and their rye bread (need a bigger piece of that). The baby reds with the beer battered haddock were very plain. I would request a different side next time. My wife and I had to check this place out after reading the menu and checking out the website. My wife got the Ahi Tuna Power Bowl and I opted for the Pub Rueben (because I have to try a Rueben if it’s on the menu. Being a Top 10% Pub and Grill reviewer for Google, I have to put this place in my top 10 places I’ve ever eaten. The Rueben with house made corned beef was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! My wife loved the Ahi Tuna Power Bowl and she kept saying it was so good repeatedly throughout the meal. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was awesome, gives you that old school speakeasy vibe. We’ll definitely be back, maybe tomorrow since it was so good 🤣...
