Knock Knock Tavern — Restaurant in Waveland

Absolutely horrible experience. Went in with my boyfriend just to have a nice lunch. First time I’ve been To the knock knock since they took over Tony’s. Wasn’t busy when we arrived And got there at the same time as an older couple. We sat and they ordered before us and we ordered shortly after. They received your food in about 30 minutes and another guy who was at the bar got his. And after 50 minutes of us waiting on our food, the waitress finally goes back to the kitchen to check on ours and once she returns, she says that the printer didn’t print out our ticket and they are Just making our food after 50 minutes of waiting already. She apologized and said that she would give us a heavy discount so we stayed and wait Another 30 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive to the table My order was wrong. I ordered the blackened alligator and they gave it to me fried, but I had waited so long and hadn’t eaten anything all day. I said I would just take it. It was bland and had no flavor in the burger that my boyfriend ordered it also was the same. She gave us a 50% discount for waiting the extremely long time for the un appeasing food, but we...

local dive spot with a very cool backstory. Decent placr to pop in for a drink and a quick bite to eat. Food is always hot, ingredients are quality and the oysters po boy was fried hard like I like it. if you wanna play some darts with a friend, listen to some good tunes or just get stupid without ‘much’ judgement, go. So yeah, the clientele is questionable, but Mitch is amazing and he’s really the reason I go. That and the bad ass jukebox. I like to throw in some money, play a little rage against the machine or maybe a little Belinda Carlisle, sip my old fashioned , spread some joy with my man, Mitch, nosh like I was just released from camp, and then float out of there feeling a little better than I walked in . The service is amazing and the food is good. The KARAOKE SYSTEM IS BAD!!! When you have a few songs up and the same 3 people keep singing and you are steadily getting skipped is not good. I went to the KJ and let him know that 2 of the people I was with only sang 1 song each when others sang at least 4 times, he stated that he doesn't go by a rotation. It's who ever signs in to the computer first gets to sing. So if someone puts up 10 songs when they start, they will sing more than the others. This is an unfair practice and will cause you to lose business. I won't be back for Karaoke, but I will be back for the service. MITCH...
