Budget Inn — Hotel in Waveland

At first, I was going to give this cheap motel an OK review. However, just as I was leaving this morning, a member of the staff persuaded me to change my mind to downgrade this review to bad. I stayed here because it was cheap. And I got in really late. The lady at the front did not give me the Wi-Fi password and she was obviously asleep when I arrived. When I called her on the phone after checking into the room to ask for it, she had a very thick sleepy accent and I couldn't understand her. No big deal. I would get it in the morning. The next morning, I found that someone had scribbled the password onto the front of a phone book. I had woken up late and I wanted to send off a work email but I wanted to make sure I vacated the room on time. So after I got out of the room and into my car, I accessed the Internet to do the email. This is TWO minutes after checkout time. As I was sitting in my car, an older female worker came up and informed me that I could not use the Internet and I needed to leave now. I said OK, it would just take one minute. She said no you leave now. She then stood there to verify I was leaving until I physically drove off. Now, I am a 53-year-old woman. Very unassuming and polite in all respects. And although this motel was probably the cheapest one I've ever stayed in (not in price but in physical condition), I was prepared to give it at least an OK rating because it was mostly clean and it had a microwave and refrigerator. But this incident changed my mind. The following things I would put up with with good customer service and a friendly helpful attitude. However, if you have a bad attitude towards your customer you do not deserve to be given a little leeway. The carpet was not clean, The door locks were not very secure. And the lighting is very poor which makes it a bit of safety concern. All of this I would've overlooked willingly but if you treat customers badly it is not a good sign for good...

This is a Budget type hotel has a one story lay out, I have stayed here two times and visited someone who was staying here for a week (family Member Home issues). I noted all three room were about the same average clean and on the small size for a hotel room. I would say, stay here if you just need a place to sleep, and not planning to spend alot of time in the room for they area small. There is no pool that I noted or any other services. Staff was nice no issue on check inn and out. This place is fine if you understand it is as listed above. Hotel still uses the a standard key lock system so make sure you check out and...

This entire hotel is infested with bedbugs and the manager knows it. If you confront him about it, he threatens to call the cops but he never actually does because he knows he will get shut down. They advertise that they have internet but they won't allow the guest to use it. They are rude and I can't believe Waveland allows this type of hotel in the city. Shut this place down already. Bull doze it like that other nasty hotel that was next door to it. And make room for someone else who cares to build something new because there is a lack of hotels in this county for the amount of tourists...
