We REALLY enjoyed eating here and will absolutely do so again. Their portions are huge for the price!
Those were the biggest, best crab cakes I've EVER had! The side salads were fresh and the amount of dressing to salad ratio was perfect. I got the Chicken Alfredo, and that is the BEST Alfredo sauce I've ever had. It is not just some white cheese sauce with some pepper flakes in it. That sauce is BANGIN!
My son got the shrimp poboy and it was so loaded he could barely close the bread! 😅 The fries were also a hefty portion. This kid is 15, 6ft 2in tall and weighs 215lbs, and normally eats the house. He could only finish half. He said it was the best poboy he's ever had.
My husband had the Katrina (I can't recall the entire name of the dish). He loved it and also had enough to take an entire meal home.
We personally loved the atmosphere. We watched only 2 people run an entire full house with grace, patience, precision, and urgency. We didn't have to wait long for anything. I've seen people on here complaining about the seating. This right here is home cooked, southern, comfort food. This is not a fine dining restaurant. If you are looking for that, go somewhere else and pay 5 times the price for a quarter of the portion (probably doesn't taste as good either). There are tables, chairs, cutlery, and a lot of full bellies and happy faces.
Special thing to note: I thought it was really thoughtful that our server put long teaspoons in our cups for our unsweet tea. We didn't ask for them, but REALLY appreciated it. It's like she knew we were going to reach for the Splenda. This is the first time we've ever experienced that dining out. I feel seen. It's the little things.
Pro tip: If you want good food, go where the people go. If the tables are full, you found yourself a good spot! ❤️ This place was 2 tables shy...
Read moreI give them this because they have excellent food. Disrespectful service to whom they choose to be nice to or should I say if you come in and they are busy or maybe not to busy it's ok to forget your food and still be snippy about it just because you finally let them know that they forgot part of your order then they totally had forgotten to bring out the dessert to. I have always really liked this restaurant and I still do. I refuse to let rude waitress ruin the reputation of this fine place. I really believe the owners should sit down with there staff and teach them manner's towards customers and especially elder's. It's ok to be busy. It's ok to even have a bad day. It's not ok to to laugh at your customers and be disrespectful at anytime. It's definitely not ok because this is a place that people come with their family and they think very highly of your restaurant. Last but least All of this makes or break's the way one feels about the atmosphere where they have always felt comfortable about and has always refered other people to. It's not every person that's a rotten egg only a few . I still recommend this restaurant and the food especially. It's the best...
Read moreI took my fiance here because I had heard and read so many good things about it. First thing she noticed was a waitress had her foot in a chair tying her shoe. Then without wiping the chair offered us that table. She took our order, my girl got a pattie sausage and biscuit and I got the egg, bacon and potatoes breakfast. We got our coffee and then waited and waited and waited for at least, no exaggerating, 25 to 30 minutes. Our coffee got refreshed a couple of times and not once did our original waitress come back to check on us, she was checking other people out at the register that we were about 20 feet from. Another waitress stopped and said " have y'all not gotten your food yet?" She went back to the back, then with a look on her face went to our original waitress at the register and got from her the ticket and came back to our table and said that for some reason the kitchen didn't have our ticket. We just got up and left. Disappointed doesn't describe our experience. What got me was the original waitress didn't seem at all concerned about us not getting our food. I doubt my fiance will ever...
